~Sam~

I got back sometime after 1:00AM. Coincidentally, Dean was just about to go to bed right when I walked in. He quickly hung up the phone when he saw me and smiled.

"Where have you been?" Dean asked, "And why is your hair wet?"

"I went to...the beach", I lied.

"By yourself?" Dean laughed doubtfully, "At night?"

"Yeah", I nodded, "It was kind of a spontaneous decision, I guess".

"Okay, well, I don't believe that for a second", Dean muttered, "But, if you don't wanna tell me, it's your choice. Whatever".

"Dean-"

"Oh, I should probably warn you", Dean interrupted me, "We've kinda got a demon in our safe room. Night!"

"Hey, hey, Dean, wait!" I babbled hurriedly in order to stop him from going into his room, "What the hell are you talking about?"

"Yeah, you're gonna hate this almost as much as I do", Dean prepared me, "But Bela's back".

"What?!" I asked with shock, "And she's a demon? This is bad".

"You don't think I know that?" Dean scoffed, "We tried an exorcism but nothing happened. So, we need to get our hands on some human blood".

"What happened?"

"Crowley had her in Hell as a hostage", Dean explained, walking back over to me again, "He said we could either take her back to Earth or let her be killed".

"And?"

"Well, she wouldn't exactly be here if she was killed, would she?" Dean shook his head at me, "Cas convinced me to let her come back with us".

I couldn't hide the sheepish smile on my face.

"What?" Dean asked, already getting defensive.

I didn't reply but the grin was still there.

"What?" Dean repeated, almost worriedly.

"You and Cas", I sighed happily and sat down in a chair, "It's just...nice".

"Nice?"

"Nice", I confirmed, "You two finally stopped messing around and admitted your feelings to each other. It's just a relief".

"Shut up", Dean snapped, hating to talk about anything to do with love.

"So, is everything good with you two?" I asked seriously, genuinely wanting to know.

"Yeah", Dean shrugged, watching me suspiciously, "Why?"

"Just wondering", I dismissed it.

Dean paused for a few seconds and I could tell he was thinking about something.

"Sam?" Dean hesitantly said and he came and sat down on the chair opposite me, "You don't...You don't think we've been distant lately, do you?"

"As in you and me?" I asked and Dean nodded, "No. I mean, we haven't been hunting for a while but a lot has been going on recently".

"Exactly", Dean muttered to himself, "But don't you think we should be working a certain job? It's been a while".

"If you want me to do some research-"

"Not just any job", Dean sighed, "I mean, this whole zombie revival crap going on?"

"Zombies?" I laughed.

"Don't let my hopes go down", Dean pouted, "I still think it'd be badass to have a zombie case".

"Sure, Dean", I nodded, smirking humorously, "Whatever you say".

"Alright, so who has come back from the dead so far?" Dean asked, stretching his arms out and yawning, "We've had Charlie, Azazel, Ruby, Dick-"

"Bela", I added.

"No, Bela doesn't count", Dean told me, "She was in Hell for that deal, remember? Crowley just happened to find her. Are we counting in Lucifer or not?"

I tried not to let my body tense at the mention of Lucifer's name.

"I don't know", I said, "Probably".

"Alright, so that's..." Dean quickly counted on his fingers, "five people".

"So far", I pointed out, "Dean, can I ask you something?"

"Of course".

"With Lucifer, Ruby and Dick, I thought the enemies were only being brought back", I started, "But then Charlie came back. Do you think this could mean we could get mom and dad back?"

"I don't know, Sammy", Dean replied quietly, "I just don't want us to get our hopes up. It happens too often and, remember, this might not be permanent".

"You think so?"

Dean nodded in response.

"So, that means everyone might get sent back", I nodded sadly, "Charlie will be taken away from us again".

"Look, I don't know, okay?" Dean expressed with irritation, "I can't predict the future".

It was quiet for a while before Dean eventually sighed and stood up.

"I'm gonna go to bed", Dean informed me, "See you in the morning".

Dean opened the door to his room but quickly turned back to me, pointing at me with accusing eyes.

"And you'd better be here in the morning".
