Chapter 10- Aiden And Karina's Song

Karina's POV

After Aiden was done singing and sat down dad announced the first project and in pairs of two and guess who I got paired with....yup you got it..my BROTHER Aiden. So here we are now sitting across from eachother wondering what song to do. "So...any ideas?" he asked and I look at him," If I did I'd say something now would I" I say rather more rude than intended. "Psh whatever" he says and rolls his eyes. "So...how about we get to know eachother and see if any ideas come to mind" he says and with that we ended up being more alike then I thought turns out he had a bad past like me and Jazzy did and mom saved him and he told me how he was honestly alone until he met her and couldn't really depend on anybody till he met her. "So why do you like Cyrus?..he's bad news" he asked and I look down," Because..with him I don't have to be perfect...I don't have to worry about everything" I say in a low voice and he looks at me. "You know you can depend on me right? I'm here for you too...I mean you ARE my sister and I'll protect you" he says.

I look at him shocked trying to hold back tears and nod, he chuckles," so stubborn" he says and gets up and hugs me. I freeze for a min then wrap my arms around him. "You can trust and count on me" and with that I got the idea of a good song we could do and I told him and he nods and with that we practiced after school preparing for the next day and we left early for school before everyone got up for a little more practice and by the time it came to perform we both walked up to the front and he walks to the piano and starts playing.

Aiden:

After we sang Aiden got up and hugged me while the class clapped, mom and dad cheered happy for us and Jazzy had a smile on her face I haven't seen in a while. "you did a great job sister" I chuckle and nudge on him ," yea you too brother" We both sat next to Jazzy after we finished and her partner at the last minute bails on her and says he no longer wants to do the song with her and is dropping the class and dad asked if she could do it as a solo and she nods. I don't know why but I feel at peace and ok with everything I just hope it stays that way.
