Chapter 30- The Runaways

Aiden's POV

Once everything have calmed down we went home and when we opened the door and mom sees us she says," I thought you guys was going out..did you change your minds?" We all looked confused because we've been gone for at least a week I believe. I looked at the clock and only ten minutes has passed the entire time. I looked confused and looked at Anna who just looked done with everything. "We changed our minds and decided to stay inside today mom" Karina says and Ashley smiles and nods giving us the ok. We go to Anna's room this time and once the door was shut when all of us was inside Karina asked what we all was thinking," How did only ten minutes passed? we was gone at least a week or two." Anna says softly," when reliving memories that requires magic...the time around us stops and freezes until we return." We had an oh ok moment then fell silent for a few minutes then Chris spoke," So...Lucas was the boy Triton banished just before..." he couldn't continue to finish he didn't have the heart to seeing Anna and Lucas hurt. When Anna heard Tritons name her eyes changed color and that has never happened. "Hey why don't we all get some sleep" I say and everyone agrees and one by one everyone goes to their own rooms then I look at Anna,"Hey...are you alright?" I say and she nods while staring at a blank space lost in thought. I sigh and help her lay down and tell her to get some rest and shut the lights off on my way out. I lay down in bed staring at the ceiling for what seemed like hours before I could fall asleep.

When morning finally came and I got up and ready for the day, I walked to the kitchen to see that I'm the first one there and as I sit down everyone but Anna shows and sits down. "I guess Anna overslept today" Louis says and mom says while placing plates on the table,"Actually she got up early and said she will be gone for a while but she wouldn't say where she was going. She just said she really needed to clear things up" We ALL became wide eyes and got up from the table," uh mom we will be right back" I say and she looks at us," but I just made breakfast...what's the hurry is something going on?" I look at the ground wanting to tell her but couldn't. "Mom just please trust us and we are going to need time" Yazzy says softly and we look at her. "We may also get back late so please don't worry we promise to call" Karina adds and we all look at mom who sighs and agrees. We hug her and run out finding Andrew, Caleb, and Destiny walking. Once they see us they asked us what's going on and we fill them in on everything that happened and they wanted in on the adventure so we all got in two cars and left to go to the beach.

Once we was there Andrew says," whoa why are we here? aren't we supposed to look for Anna?" I pull out my necklace and say," show us to our sister Anna" it starts to glow and of course points to the sea. "Wait did Anna drown herself?" Caleb says in a panic which causes Destiny to worry. "follow us we must keep moving and we'll explain on the way" Lucas says and we all run to the water and once everyone is in I snap my fingers and Caleb, Louis, Zayn, and Destiny can now breath underwater. I look at them saying," You guys can now breathe so you don't have to hold your breaths...Anna and Lucas are mermaids/mermens" Caleb, Destiny and Andrew looks shocked then look at Lucas who now has a tail but then they see Karina and Yazzy with tails,"What the...how did they..." Destiny says then covers her mouth realizing she can talk then looks at me and I say," Anna gave them the gift to be mermaids when they choose to so they can freely swim and visit...now we must go" While swimming we explain the whole situation of what happened after rescuing Destiny which leaves them speechless and Lucas I could tell was a bit out of it just rehearing it. We follow the necklace which leads us to a Anna's home and we follow the light that leads to the very top and to the farthest door and when we open it we see Anna crying on her knees in front of where her mother laid in a see through casket with flowers. I knew the only people could help her was the ones I honestly could careless for but I texted all of them in a group text explaining everything and where Anna is now and each of them said they was on their way here.

When they came and we saw them me and Jess looked at each other evil and she said in a nasty tone, " Aiden" and I looked at her," Jess" saying in an annoyed tone. "I see you are still the same prick as always" she says and I look at her ready to let her see some stars and say," I see you are still as stuck up as ever...now do me a favor and get the head out your a** and go check on her" She gives me the most evil look then softens and looks at Anna weeping on her mothers casket and sighs. She swims to Anna and holds her and they all followed in embracing her "I know it hurts Anna...shhh it's going to be alright" Jess says as Reannon walks in to see all of us," Your Majesty" she says softly and we look at her and when Anna sees her she is filled with hurt and anger. Her eyes start changing again different colors then she closes her eyes holding her chest and swims off really fast. "what's wrong with her?" Reannon says and I glance at her as everyone chases after Anna," what's it like to find out your best friends was a spy for your own mother?" I say and she looks at me shocked and I glare at her before swimming off after Anna.

Karina's POV

We followed after Anna chasing after her and I could tell Yazzy is not too use to swimming she's swimming a bit slower than the rest of us. As I slow down for her I see Lucas grabs her telling her to hold on tight and swims faster and I follow behind. it takes a while but we find Anna in a cage underwater with a secret entrance. "Anna...we know how you feel and how hard it is to lose someone you love?" I say softly swimming to her and Aiden arrives watching us. "that's right...Karina and Yazzy has officially lost both parents before" Destiny says and Yazzy looks down and Lucas hugs her. "how is that possible? Their mom is alive" Chris says looking confused and Anna looks at them. "Their mom..."Andrew begins but I say," I guess it's best if we show so we won't have to say it" I hold Yazzy's hands and everyone connects hands and joins with us and closes their eyes and they see our history from mom dying giving birth, being kidnapped, the torture our grandparents did to us, to losing our father after mom finally returned. Anna looks at us and holds us tight. "Karina..please tell me you don't still talk to that guy Cyrus?" Chris asked and everyone looked at me waiting for an answer. "Sis..please don't tell me you do?" Yazzy says softly. I couldn't answer I just couldn't do it and kept looking down. "let me see your phone" Aiden demands coming towards me and I back away to be pressed up against Lucas and Chris who are now holding me. Aiden snatches my phone and looks at it for what seems like forever then gives me and evil look which obviously gave away the answer.

 Aiden: ARE YOU SERIOUS KARINA? AFTER ALL HE PUT YOU THROUGH?

Me: *tries to snatch phone back but he refuses to give it* I love him...how dare you judge me for falling in love.

Andrew: Karina that's not love, he got you busted for selling and then wanted you in the business and I hate to say this but I'm GLAD that Aiden stopped you.

Me: *looking at the ground* so what if he did? I could have easily denied selling..

Caleb: Very true Karina *slaps me hard* you are a fool for not and for sleeping with him

Anna: Trust me Karina that's not love...if you ever feel confused or unsure then it can't be love

Yazzy: Sis...

Me: *before she could finish* I don't expect anybody to understand nor care if you do

Aiden: *gets in my face* be very careful wait you say next because I won't hold back this time on you Karina.

Me: *I stare at him and push him away* wished it was me that died in that accident instead of dad.

I swim away fast leaving them behind and I hear them calling my name but I ignore them and once I'm back on land I run to the nearest store and asked to use their phone to call Cyrus who quickly picked up. "please...come and get me" I say and he asked where I was and I told him the address and he says he's down the street on his way. As I walk outside Cyrus pulls up as I see Everyone running shouting for me to not go but this time I got in the car and told him to go and he quickly drives off flipping Aiden off. He chuckles and then holds my hand saying," we are going to do some great things baby, I knew they wouldn't keep you away from me at all" I smile hearing that and I look at the passenger mirror to see my sister getting further and further away with that look in her eyes full of sadness. I hope she forgives me but I couldn't stay anymore.
