Sabi nila, balanse dapat ang isip at ang puso. If you let one of them rise above the other, things will start to fall apart.

Totoo naman. If you follow you heart, you tend to be selfless. You give everything that you have for the sake of someone who can't even possibly love you back. You move mountains just to be with that someone, kahit na may masasaktan.

You'll have your heart intact. Buo parin.

It's ironic, really. They taught us about matters with regards to mind and heart. They warned us about the consequences of our choices. They taught us that we should balance these two powerful objects. But no one taught us how. So many years of education and yet no one taught us how to handle our emotions.

So the aftermath would be like this: we choose what's less painful, we follow our mind. Majority of us inside this four walled room prefer to be heartless than to be heartbroken.

The sound of chairs against the bare floor is very hard to ignore.

He's in his early 60s.

"Good aftern-"

"Prayer first." He interrupted. Inayos niya ang salamin niya saka nagpatuloy.

"Let's bow down our heads and let us pray for the sick, for the victims of war..." and so on

He has this kind of voice na maaantok ka.

"With connection to our topic this afternoon, you will have a very interesting activity." Panimula niya

"Who among you here knows the story of Cupid and Psyche?"

May mga nagsitaasan ng kamay.

"Yes. Cupid, the god of love and Psyche, his wife."

"Alright. So your activity will revolve around the theme of that famous myth. You are going to stand for your side in this thing called love."

Nagsitinginan kami nga mga katabi ko. Somehow, I have an idea on what would be our activity.

"Yes, I chose one from what you have submitted yesterday. So you are going to have a debate and it will revolve around this topic: would you rather be...
