Chapter 39 - Showdown : Laxus VS Tempester

One by one, the members who were submerged in the dark water slowly woke up.

" Huh? What happened? " Lucy asked as she slowly sat up from the cold ground as Natsu also slowly sat up as well.

" Huh?! Where's my opponent?! Huh?!" Natsu suddenly started shouting.

" He...disappeared... " Gajeel said as he panted from the battle.

" Gajeel... " Levy hurried over to him to help him.

Their other friends who were submerged in the dark water ran towards them.

" Eh?! Who is he?! " Levy asked as she motioned to Doranbolt who was still carrying Wendy.

" Ah, we'll tell you later but he is from the council. " Romeo said as he looked at the others.

Everyone was there except for Gray. Then, they heard footsteps coming towards their direction. They quickly looked at the direction where the footsteps were coming from and saw Gray, shirtless with his right arm having some black markings.

" Gray! " they all shouted with shocked expressions.

Gray walked towards them but then immediately went over to Juvia's side who was still unconscious.

" Is she alright? " he asked as he cradled her body on his lap.

" She fought against Keyes but inside of him are anti-magical particles and she was inside of him. So, she's kinda unable to fight currently. " Lucy explained as she leaned on Natsu's shoulder.

" I see... " Gray mumbled as he looked at Juvia's face with a loving expression.

" We'll continue the search then. " Jellal said as they stood up to go.

Romeo, Doranbolt with Wendy who was still unconscious went to the right as Jellal went alone to the left side and Natsu and Lucy straight ahead while supporting each other.

When they were out of sight by the little group, Tempester appeared.

" I'll finish this little group now then. " Tenpester said as he walked towards the group.

" Bastard. " Gajeel cursed but then Laxus stepped in front of them.

" I'll take care of this. " Laxus said.

" Laxus! " Gajeel and Gray shouted in unison as lightning surrounded him and he lunged towards Tempester.

" Your struggling is pointless. " Tempester said as he dodged the lunch Laxus gave and he hit the ground with force.

But then, his eyes widened when he saw Laxus having a large ball of electricity in the air.

" Raging Bolt! " Laxus shouted as he aimed the attack towards Tempester who received it head on and dust appeared around them.

Once the dust cleared, Tempester was crouching with his hair covering his eyes.

" Is that the best you can do? " he asked while Laxus 'tched'.

" Rumble. " he said as a tornado appeared around his body and he lunged towards Laxus who quickly dodged.

" Boom. " he said once again and this time, rocks went to attack Laxus who used his arms to block it.

" Dammit. Bastard. " he cursed as he looked at Tempester.

" Whoosh " several tornados appeared and went towards Laxus's direction in front of him.
