Sit down, grab a snack, children, this is going to be a long one

Carter's POV

I woke up with a warm, little body pressed against me. I knew it was Emily, I could feel it. Smell it. Her scent and her body seemed more and more familiar to me. Never in my life had I thought I would care and love someone as deeply as I did with her. The feeling was new and sort of scary. The thing that happened last night just showed how crazy I were about her, even though I knew I probably shouldn't have went that far with her, I couldn't help it. Not when she tried so hard to get me there, and not when she was so damn beautiful.

I shook her a little in my arms, trying to wake her up. She stirred in her sleep and rolled around so she was holding on to me. Her small fragile arm wrapped over my chest, I couldn't help the smile that spread on my lips. She was so cute. Perfect, actually. Even her flaws.

"Babe, it's time to wake up," I said in a low voice, not wanting her to get scared. It wasn't really time to wake up, I didn't even know what time it were, but I wanted her to be awake with me, selfish, I know. She groaned, almost inaudible, but I heard it, and she just got even cuter.

"What time is it?" Her sleepy voice asked. I chuckled, and reached for my phone to check the time.

"It's 11:30, we didn't get home that late yesterday," I chuckled again at the memory of last night. I was really drunk, but I could remember. How could I forget? Emily in her underwear, walking so comfortably towards me. She was so sexy. Not that she wasn't like that always; she just portrayed herself different last night. I know it was all of the alcohol, but I still felt honored to have seen her in a completely different way than she let other people see. At least right now, I didn't know her before she got sick.

"Yeah, it's not too bad. How did we even get back here?" She asked, noticing we were back at my place.

"Well, after I went out to talk to Tyler, I got in and found you completely passed out on the bed. I carried you to the car and drove us back here, and then I carried you up here." She looked at me with those eyes. The eyes that showed her astonishment. The eyes that showed that she was surprised that I cared. I hated those eyes. I only wanted to see her eyes filled with joy and laughs.

"You carried me?" She asked with a surprised voice. I nodded and smiled at her. She needed to know that it was a normal thing for people to care about her. "Why?"

"Should I have let you sleep at some random party, in your underwear, with an unlocked door?" The question was stupid.

"You could have woken me up." I sighed at her words.

"Are we arguing?" It was rare for us to argue. Over anything but food, of course. Those arguments there was enough of.

"No, I'm just saying you could have woken me up, you didn't have to carry me all that way," she sighed with her words. Silence fell upon us.

"Should we talk about what happened last night?" I spoke. I know we had to.

"What's there to talk about?" She looked me in the eyes. I chuckled a little and held her tighter. She was a very cute girl, and I just couldn't help but to feel lucky that she let me hold her like that, kiss her like that. I felt chosen.

"Well, you stripped in front of me and unzipped my pants, while you where on top of me. I mean, don't you think there's something to talk about?" I asked with a laugh. It was so out of the ordinary.

I could see she was blushing a little. It was always cute when she did that, but I tried not to embarrass her with it. Not always at least.

"Well, we are dating."
