"Just be ready at six, okay?" God, he was being so annoying.

"Please just tell me where we're going! I will shut up entirely after that!" He wasn't budging, which was so annoying since I wanted to know where we're going.

"No, just be ready," he said, kissed me, and then left out the door.

Since I was off from work today, I decided to treat myself and get pretty before our date. Carter had planned something tonight, and it was killing me not to know what it was. He described it as 'magnificent', which was really nerdy, but I let him geek out.

Who would've thought that after being together for seven years, he was still able to get me this excited about one fucking date. The thought made me smile. Before I was going to treat myself, I was going to sleep a little more. I snuggled into Carter's side of the bed and inhaled his and mine scent in our white sheets. I was happy but sleepy, and fell asleep.

When I woke, I made myself some coffee and took a shower. It was long and warm and so nice. Then I put on clothes, did my hair, and put on a little bit of makeup.

"It really suits you. I have to say that. And no, I'm not conducted to say that by my boss, I promise!" the lady at the store I was currently in said. I smiled and looked at myself in the mirror. I was in a white flowy, V-neck dress with embroidered, colorful flowers all over it. It was pretty.

"I do like it," I said and smiled at myself. I guess I just found the dress for tonight.

"I have some really good shoes for it," the lady said and lifted her eyebrows in a funny way. I chuckled and nodded and she left to go get them.

They were perfect and so were the dress. I quickly found myself with a manicure, new dress and shoes, and fresh eyelash extensions. I was currently in the line at Burger King.

"Hey, how are you?" The girl asked. Her nametag read Victoria and she looked around 17. I smiled at her.

"I'm good, how are you?"

"I'm good, thank you. What can I help you with?" she said with a cheery voice. She was really sweet.

"Uhm, I'll have a chocolate hand spun and a caramel sundae, please." She smiled and typed on her screen.

"$5,24, please." I swiped my card and pressed the pin. The girl's eyes went from smiling to wide in once second.

"Oh, my God, that's a black card. I've never seen one before. Sorry, I'm being rude, I just... Yeah, I've never seen one before," she said, while staring at my card. I got it back in my wallet, embarrassed by the attention. Carter had given me it this morning since he knew I was going out. The card was his and usually he carried it around, but not today. He knew how I felt about it, and he always thought it was hilarious to see me embarrassed by using it in public.

"Uh, yeah, it is," I chuckled. I felt so awkward. She blushed a little and went to make my order. I had it in a matter of a minute and took my tray with a thank you. The Burger King was close to empty and I went to sit outside.

"Victoria, you're on break now," a man yelled and Victoria was quick to leave the counter. I sat down outside and started eating some of my ice cream. Not long passed before the girl came out with a tray and a cup. She sat down on the table beside mine. I was busy texting Flora, so I didn't really notice.

"It's delicious if you dip fries in the shake," Victoria suddenly said. We were the only ones outside, so I figured she was speaking to me.

"What?" I asked.
