Read the note at the end! It's important! You can have a say on this story if you want. Read the note at the end where I'll explain.

"So you won't see her for another month?" I shook my head.

"No, but I really don't want to talk about it anymore."

"That's rough, but sure, we'll talk about something else then. Are you ready for the fight?" Max asked while I wrapped my hands before putting on my gloves. We were at our gym and I was about to train. I soon had a fight, which was what Max was referring too. I had quickly told him about the Emily situation, but as I told him, I didn't want to talk further about it. I just wanted this month to be over quickly so I could see her again.

I stepped into the ring and Max strapped on the reacting pads. I shook my head, trying to get the thoughts of Emily and complication out of my mind. I needed to focus on hitting. My fight. I punched for a while and ended the session with an uppercut. I was now a sweaty mess and I knew if Emily saw me like this she would wrinkle her nose and make me go change and shower. But she wasn't here.

"I think you're ready. More than ready actually."

"What?" Max's words had snapped me out of my thoughts, but I didn't hear him.

"For your fight, I think you're ready," he chuckled and wiped his forehead. He was sweaty too.

"Oh, yeah, I am." I took off my gloves and started to unwrap my hands from the bandage. They were red and damp from me fighting.

"Who are you fighting against again?" Max asked as we got out of the ring.

"Some kid named Louis Adler never heard of him before. Words are he's good, but not great. A guy from the club said he was skinny, so I'm not worried." Max nodded and took out his phone. He typed and swiped at the screen.

"Louis Adler. He's 16. Are you going to fight a 16-year-old? When did the rules change?" he said and showed me his phone. It was Louis' Facebook page. He was a fit boy, though on the smaller side.

"A few months ago. If the younger person requests the fight, it's fine. I just can't be the one to set up the fight. I didn't know he was that young, though. He's new to the whole thing I've heard. Maybe he doesn't know who I am."

"Well, he must if he asked for the fight. I don't know we'll see how it turns out." Max nodded and opened the door to the locker rooms.

"Are you coming?" he asked when I didn't go inside. I shook my head and looked over the gym. Some guys were there training, but it was somewhat empty.

"Nah, I think I'm gonna keep going for a while. See you tomorrow." He nodded and went through the door.

I kept on training for an hour and a half and stopped when I was completely beat. I nearly couldn't stand up and when I showered I couldn't wash my hair for my shoulders. Everything hurt, but I liked the pain.

"They gave me back my phone, but I still can't have visitors. I don't think they'll ever allow it actually." Emily's sweet voice sounded through my phone.

"Yeah, I know. I can't wait to see you, though," I sighed.

"I miss you so much. What are you doing the next days?"

"Well, I'm not really doing anything else than training and going to school. I have a fight this Saturday, but other than that, nothing."

"Wait, do you have a fight? And I'll be here while I don't even know how you're doing. That's unfair."
