We are driving down River Road to get back home. I'm in the passenger seat, and my sisters are in the back. It's a nice afternoon. Windy enough to be cool, but sunny enough to be warm. Suddenly we turn a corner and I see a zombie shambling across the road. "Stop the car!" I shout. "What why?" My mom looks at me from the driver seat, worried. "Just stop!" She slams on the brakes, but momentum makes us sliding into the zombie. The impact sends him to the ground, sliding across the road. I get out and rush over to him. "Oh my gosh! Are you ok? What are you doing so far away from your group?" I ask it, helping it up. Oh poor thing, it's got some wicked road rash. "What the hell is wrong with you, Ian?" My mom steps out of the car. She can't see the zombie because she doesn't believe they really exist. "Jus- just one second." I shout over to her. I help the zombie up. This zombie must be well fed, cause it's not trying to eat me now. It groans as I slowly lead it to the edge of the road. I pull out my compass, turn the zombie in the right direction, and send him off. "Just keep walking that way and you'll find the herd." I say. I watch as it stumbles around the trees.
