Tidbit #5

It's Serena's birthday today. She's turning 20. I got up early to go get her gift. I always wait until the last second so there is no chance that she could find it hidden around the house. She said she wanted a small, personal birthday. Something to share between us. So I'm going to set something nice up for her. I've teleported to Charolette's flower shop. She's always got black orchids in stock. It's dark, for it's not open yet. She's probably still asleep. It's only 5 in the morning, after all. I grab a nice vase that I think Serena would like, and a diverse bouquet of flowers that I know Serena likes. I place them in the vase and leave money on the counter before I teleport back home. I place the vase on the table and get right to making breakfast. I make three pancakes and set them on a warmer. Serena won't wake up for a long while, so I mostly just relax until she does. When I do finally hear her stirring upstairs, I quickly teleport up to greet her. She's just swinging her legs over the edge of bed when I land. I quietly come up behind her, and crawl on the bed. I wrap my arms around her from behind, making her jump slightly. She chuckles as I nuzzle my head into her neck. "Happy birthday, my love." I say. She giggles a little and turns to kiss me. "You're adorable." She says. I let her get up and she heads to the bathroom. I walk downstairs and soon she comes down too. I pull out a chair from the table and she sits. I push her back in, and grab the plate of pancakes from the stove. I set them in front of her with a bottle of syrup. She squeals. "You made pancakes for me! You're the best." She laughs. "Anything for you. You're the birthday girl, after all." I smile as she eats her pancakes. She enjoys them greatly, it seems. We spend the rest of the day together, just hanging around the house like she wanted. Late that night I give her a more... private surprise.
