Many different species of dinosaur graze and rest in a large open field. There is plenty of food for the herbivores, and even some recent kills for the carnivores. It's peaceful. Carnivores resting in the shade, watching their young chase each other around, some sleeping. Herbivores sunbathing and grazing around, escorting their young to the nearby stream for a drink. An allosaurus baby runs a distance from its sleeping parents and curiously creeps up on a pair of grazing diablosauruses. The two glance at it, but pay it no mind. It circles around them and is entrances by one of the small ceratopsians' stubby tail. It watches it wiggle around, and then gets close to try and catch it. It misses again and again. Little does it know the diablosaurus has turned its head back and is toying with the young allo. The tiny allo's parents awaken to find their child missing, and call out for it. The diablo, hearing their distress, turns around and scoops up the youngling with its horns. It toddles in the direction of the parents and gently lays the child down in front of them. The allos look wary but graciously accept the kind act. The diablo returns to its partner to continue its grazing. A flock of birds takes off in the nearby forest, and all social chatter stops as the whole field seems to sense the approach of something very large. Infants cry out and scramble back to the safety of their parents. Parasaurs, shantangosauruses, and maiasauras stand tall to try and see if they can spot what panicked the birds. As fast as lightning, a hypo spinosaurus darts out of the trees and instantly swallows a maia whole. It gets out a short scream before the massive predator's maw closes around it. It quickly swallows and lets out a deafening bellow, almost as if announcing its presence. The whole field of dinosaurs is thrown into a panic. A stampede quickly forms as the whole field scrambles to distance themselves from the insatiable hunter. Even the largest rexes wouldn't dare try and take on a full grown hypo spinosaurus alone. The diablo and its partner are in the middle of the chaos. To their left, a lone triceratops, to their left, a trio of gallimimuses. The gallis waste no time in getting ahead of everyone, and escaping into the safety of the trees. The slower ceratopsians are stuck firmly in the middle of the group. The diablo turns to to the sound of the youngling allo from before crying out. The hypo has taken down both it's parents with a swipe of its tail. Without hesitation, the diablo turns around to reach the tiny allo, its partner coming right along with. As the hypo approaches the baby, it opens its maw to eat it right up. Right before it reaches the allo, the diablo roars right as it slams into the hypo's side, knocking it off balance. The second diablo is right behind the first, sinking it's horns into the hypo's side, knocking it completely off its feet. It's quick to regain it's footing, though, and stands back up. It screeches at the dibble, ready to kill it on the spot. It seems the diablos' bravery didn't go unnoticed. The lone trike from before suddenly comes from behind the hypo and knocks it off its feet with a swipe of its long horns. The trike bellows in anger, and the hypo scrambles to its feet, and steps aside so all the threats are in front of it. Before it can properly assess the situation, a therizinosaurus rushes in and swipes at the hypo's tail with its massive claws. Before the hypo even has time to comprehend the new opponent, a ceratosaurus comes up and clamps down on the hypo's ankle. Overwhelmed, the hypo doesn't notice as more and more creatures move in to attack. A rex comes and gets a solid bite in on the hypo's neck, tearing open a huge wound. An ankylosaurus swings its tail, taking the hypo's feet out from under it. A shant rears up and slams its feet down on the hypo's head, crushing it after just one stomp. The group of brave dinosaurs all roar in triumph. The dibble wanders over to the shade of a tree and sits down with its partner. It watches as carnivores begin to feast on the fresh kill. It goes to lay its head down, but the is surprised by the allo cuddling up against it's side and promptly falling asleep. Both diablos look over at the small creature, then at each other. They simply lay their heads down and nap as well.
