I'm walking along a wide stream near my house. I'm just enjoying the fresh air and the sounds of the forest, alone. The water is so clear, I can see all the way to the bottom. The ground inclines and I enter a small canyon-like area. The water gets really deep here, I can't see the bottom. "Strange. Why'd it get so deep?" I mumble. I walk up to the edge of the stream. I can see a few inches before it gets too murky to see. Something moves beneath the surface. I lean in closer to the water to get a better look. Suddenly a light blue, webbed hand shoots up from the deep. My next few moves take place within five seconds. I lean back from the water as the hand breaks the surface. Instincts kick in and I fling my own hand out quickly, catching the webbed hand by the wrist. I hear a gasp from below the water. "How dare you!?" I shout. The naiad tries to pull her hand back under the water, but I don't let her. I grab her arm with my other hand and start pulling. "How dare you try to drown me!" I keep pulling her upward as she struggles to break free. Her face comes above the water as I start backing away from the water. "Let me go! Please!" She screams. "This is what you get for trying to kill me!" I shout. "NO!" I pull her out of the water, and pick her up. I hold her above my head as she screams at me. She writhes, trying to get back to the water. "IAN!" I turn around. One of my friends is standing up at the top of the small canyon. "Put her down." I frown at him. "Now." "You want me to put her down, I'll put her down." I growl. I grunt as I throw her across the stream. She shouts out right before she hits the stone wall on the other side, and then splashes back into the water. "Ahhah.." Her crying fades as she swims to the bottom. "That'll teach her." I mutter.
