The pair watch from the observatory of a great space ship, high in the sky and invisible. Away from the fighting, but close enough to see. They watch as armies from all over this world come to aid the attacking side. They watch as a portal opens up and the enderman ship, the Fissure, comes through. They watch has their latest new problem, Protector Joey, faces off with a wraith of unprecedented power. They watch as a titian the size of a city grows and begins wreaking havoc. They watch as this titan, Rygat, a chaos god, is defeated and explodes into a golden dust. Neither of them are especially fazed or impressed. They talk as if the war below them isn't deciding the fate of this universe. "He's been spending a lot of time here. There's a permanent portal in the center of the capital that leads directly to earth," says one. The other nods. "Yes. He has formed a tight alliance with this dimension, with Lorkel. They trade. As we can see, he even lent military support against a fight that would normally be impossible to win," says the second. "Normally. But this dimension is a font of raw power. The people here, the creatures here, a number of them are not far off from god status." "It sure helped them in banishing Rygat." "Indeed it did. They're lucky. But they're also very strong. I'm not surprised." "But he failed to take over this dimension. Our lord will be unhappy." "No, he was merely a means to an end. We have what we need. And our lord will get his reinforcements when the time comes." The two shudder at the implication. Not in fear, but in anticipation. "Come. Let us collect what we need and leave here. We have work to do." The first begins to turn away. "No. There's too many eyes, and too much going on. We only need a little. We shall wait a few days, and then collect what we need once it's harder to see and less people around." The second turns with him and both move to exit the observatory. A few days later, the first cant help but chuckle as he collects the next ingredient. One step closer.
