Image this: It's dark, the middle of he night. You're armed with nothing but a wooden spear and a torch. You wander a small path, surrounded by jungle on all sides. The overcast sky blocks nearly all of the moonlight, the canopy above blotting our whatever's left. It is pitch back accept for your torch. In a normal jungle, this should be a pleasant walk, all things considered. The torch is enough to see by. The night it cool, the wind is calm. Your spear is plenty to defend yourself. This is not a normal jungle. You share this island with every manor of horrifying beast, all with unique ways of killing you. You hear a rustle of brush to your left, and you whirl. The flickering light of the torch casts wavering shadows that make it impossible to see anything clearly in the brush. You hear another disturbance in the undergrowth behind you and you spin around, spear raised. Nothing emerges. Suddenly, up ahead on the path, a pair of glowing yellow eyes penetrates the darkness. They bob slightly as the owner walks every closer. Finally, the creature enters your meager bubble of light. It's a two legged reptile, the size of a cat. It's covered in feathers and it's sleek body allows speed and strength behind a jump. It's equipped with razor sharp claws on both its feet and small arms. It's mouth drips with a purple tinted liquid. A troodon. Arguably the smartest creature on the island, rivaling even humans in some cases. You thrust the spear at it warningly. It hisses and turns to the side, disappearing into the brush. You try to follow it with your eyes, but it's gone. You keep moving, picking up your pace. It won't be long now before you arrive home, and surround yourself with the safety of sturdy walls. Suddenly something rushed across the path in front of you, so fast it's a blur. Another noise sounds behind you, signaling a similar movement. Plants rustle all around you, overpowering your hearing. You bolt, scrambling as if your life depends on it. It does. If you can just make it home. Suddenly a horrid screech sounds behind you and a chorus of similar sounds answer the call. You hear the pack running to catch you. They don't scramble, they don't rush. There's no need. They're faster than you. They're going to catch you. Suddenly a horrible pain blossoms in your back and you pitch forward. A troodon has latched on and knocked you down. You reach back and grab ahold of it only to toss it away at once. But others have nor swarmed you. You can feel your limbs failing you as their venom kicks in. It's not long before you fall unconscious entirely and the pack of troodons begin eating you alive.
