I was excited. I really was. I woke up this morning, knowing before I even looked at my clock. It's going to happen today. I'm finally going to meet my soulmate! I looked down at my wrist, just to be sure. There it was. My clock, ticking down second by second. It read: 0000d 11h 57m 15s. I was so excited. But then everything fell apart. Endromidus was attacked. I looked down at my clock when I first got word of the approaching armies. It hadn't changed course. 0000d 4h 24m 02s. I glanced at my clock every once in a while as we prepared for battle. Once while gearing myself up. Once while giving a moral boosting speech. Once while we marched to intercept the incoming enemies. It still ticked down. It's only a matter of minutes now. 0000d 00h 10m 04s. These people attacking us had just about the worst possible timing. Meeting on the battle field isn't the best way to meet your soulmate, even if you're on the same side. I wonder who it could be? Someone from Endromidus I haven't met? It has to be, but who? I thought I'd met just about everyone here. I just hope I can make a good impression while fighting. We approach the point where we meet the opposing side. I look down at my clock one last time. 0000d 00h 01m 32s. We're somewhere in North Field. There's a hill up ahead. I rush ahead to climb the hill to see what I can see. There's a bit of a valley here, before it goes back up another hill on the other side. Suddenly someone appears on the other hill. A beautiful girl with long blue hair that flows in the wind. I lock my eyes with hers and I suddenly feel my clock stop ticking. Her eyes widen, as do mine. She looks down at her clock, then looks back up at me in shock. I unintentionally do the exact same thing. 0000d 00h 00m 00s. We stare at each other like that for a few more seconds. But then a large group of people comes up the hill behind her. I hear my army just reaching the top of the hill I'm standing on. The two opposing armies rush down the hill, shouting battle cries. I loose sight of the girl and get caught up in the moment, running with my fellow combatants. The two armies meet in the middle and I find myself face to face with the girl from atop the hill. I swing my knife at her neck. She dodges back, then arcs her sword down towards me. I jump out of the way. We lock blades, fighting for our lives.
