#60: Holiday Date

"Can we have this day for a break?" I asked her.

"We're already having a break, Dave." She said.

That's not what I meant. I want to have a date with my wife. It's been a while since I came back from Europe and I wasn't able to take her out due to some meetings to attend, and so as her. She's been very dedicated with her job, and I don't want to ruin the happiness she's earning.

"I want to spend this evening with you." I told her while my hands were reaching for hers. I want to hold hands with my wife.

"Ganun mo ba 'ko kamiss?" She said while laughing.

Her laugh made my knees weak. She pinched my cheeks and that made me blush. The mistake I made years ago makes me for who I am today. And by that, I want to declare my love for her. Not a friendly kind of love but in my own romantic way.

"Huy. Ano bang nangyayari sayo?" That made me come back to reality.

"San mo ba gustong pumunta?" I asked her.

"Ikaw nag aayang magdate tayo tapos ikaw nagtatanong sakin?" Yeah right, Dave!

"Where do you want to go? Movie night or dinner? Amusement? You can choose wherever you want to. Or maybe, out of the country?" I can call a pilot to drive us to where she wants to go.

"Let's have dinner, I'm starving na hubby." Hubby.

"I want this, and this. Can you make the steak well done?" We are here in a restaurant, which I don't know what is the name. She just pulled me inside and now we're here.

"How about you, Sir?" The waiter asked me, I just smiled at him.

"What's your chef's specialty?"

"Beef teriyaki with oyster sauce and peanut on toppings with our own and special soup." Sounds better, I feel the excitement of my stomach upon hearing the menu.

"That would be good."

"So what's up hubby? Hinahanap na ba 'ko sa office?" She asked me.

"I don't know. I often go there, I do have important appointments outside." That's why I am busy, after dropping her to school I go directly to my meeting.
