Chapter 49 - I can't do this

Nicole's POV

"Si Belle?"

"Yes. I saw her"

"Ethan"

"I know Nicole. It's just that ngayon ko lang siya nakita ulit. After 3 years" sabi niya.

"Is that why you did it again? Dahil nakita mo ulit siya?"

"No. I was drunk"

"Ethan if you need to go back to Cali we can tell Mom"

"No. I'm okay Nicole. I don't need to go back there. Okay na ako. I promise"

Biglang pumasok si Mommy sa kwarto.

"Nicole can we talk outside?"

Nag-smile ako kay Ethan at saka ako tumayo at sumunod kay Mommy.

"His doctor told me that he can go home tonight"

"That's good Mom"

"We are just going to wait for your Dad so we can take him home" sabi ni Mommy.

"Okay. Dun na lang muna din po ako matutulog. I'm just going to get my stuff sa apartment"

"No need. You still have your things sa kwarto mo sa bahay. It's better if you stay with Ethan all the time. You know he needs you right now"

"Okay mom"

Wala na akong nagawa. Gusto ko rin sanang pumunta ng apartment para kausapin si Rain. Pero tama si Mommy. Kailangan ako ni Ethan ngayon.

"I'm going to my room if that's okay?" sabi ni Ethan sa amin. Nasa bahay na kami ngayon.

"Yes anak. I'll check on you later" sabi ni Mommy sa kanya.

Inantay ni Dad na umalis muna si Ethan bago siya nagsalita.

"I told you he needs to finish the program!" galit na sabi ni Dad. Medyo malakas na yung boses niya.

"He's okay! He recovered!"

"How can you say that when he tried to kill himself again?!"

Tahimik lang kami ni Max.

This is not the first Ethan tried to kill himself. 3 years ago nagbreak sila ni Belle. Bigla na lang siyang iniwan. And he didn't take it well enough. So he started using drugs. We had to send him to Cali for rehab and go into sessions with a psychologist. Minsanan na niyang binalak na magpakamatay. Nagover-dose siya.

"Your son is okay. We just need to be here for him"

"Mom I think Dad is right. Atleast dun namomonitor nila siya"

"No! He's staying here with us. And don't tell me what to do Nicole. Because this is all your fault!"

"Mom!" sabi ni Max. Nakita niyang nasaktan ako sa sinabi ni Mommy.

"What? Totoo naman hindi ba? If you didn't bring Belle into our lives hindi mangyayari sa kapatid mo to"

"She was my bestfriend Mom. I didn't know that he will cheat on Ethan" medyo nanginginig pa yung boses ko.
