No couple

Keith coughed and stumbled out of the stolen Galran escape pod. Smoke spilled into the air after him and leapt forward to stay out of the grey.

"Quiznak..." He hissed under his breath and glared at the burning pod behind him. "Good-for-nothing Galra shit-pile." Keith grabbed the sides of his helmet and lifted it off his head. He lost contact with the others and the atmosphere was breathable, so he saw no need to keep it on.

The red paladin carded his fingers through his hair and observed the abandoned buildings around him.

A crack like thunder broke through the air and Keith looked up to see another ship barreling in, just more controlled than Keith had come in. The ship jerked up and bounced in the air, then spiraled to the ground behind a hill.

Keith decided to run to it. What could go wrong with running towards a downed Galra ship?

Once Keith was close enough(just three meters away), he came to a halt. The pod shuddered, then the door shot open. Alarms blared, lights flashed, and less smoke than Keith's pod filtered out after a Galran officer.

Keith activated his bayard and crouched. The Galran spotted him and froze. "Blade or Zarkon?" Keith ground out. The Galran was silent, but their shoulders trembled.

Weird.

Keith bared his teeth and narrowed his eyes further. "Blade or-"

"Keith?"

The red paladin wasn't sure what had startled him more. The fact that they knew his name or the soft, tentative, feminine voice that said his name.

Both stood silent until Keith raised his bayard just slightly. "How do you know my name?"

The Galran officer slid off her helmet and took a shaky step closer. She wasn't exactly what Keith thought female Galrans would look like.

She had soft, rounded features, her lavender fur clean and unruffled, and her eye were a creamy color rather than a vibrant yellow. Her long, pointed ears were twisted back into her long, white and silver locks of hair that had tumbled out of her helmet and over her shoulders. The helmet slipped from her hands and she reached out to him. "Oh my..."

Keith jolted as the tips of her slim fingers brushed over the wrist of his armor. He straightened up and lowered his bayard. "I'll ask one more time; Blade or Zarkon?"

She didn't seem to hear him as she cupped his face. "My, how you've grown..." She whispered, brushing a lock of hair out of his face. Keith didn't think that Galran females would be this short, either. He thought they'd be as tall as all the other Galrans he's seen. She was maybe just two or three inches taller than him. A tiny smile grew on her face. "Goodness..."

"Who... Are you?" Keith finally asked as tears built up in her gentle eyes.

"Of course..." She murmured sadly. "You wouldn't remember me. You were so little when I had to leave." Her fingers twitched like she was going to pull away, but she didn't seem to want to. "My name is Galara... I'm your mother, Keith."
