Begins when they're little
Keith may have been young, but he was sure this was what people called 'love.' Takashi was so... Kind and pretty.
Takashi smiled so kindly and prettily at him that it made Keith's heart pound and stomach flutter. Keith really loved him, especially since he was allowed to call him 'Shiro.' No one but Keith was allowed to call him that. Well, Shiro's family could call him that, too, but other than them it was just Keith and it made him feel special.
Keith grew up, sure his love for Shiro was getting stronger. He aspired to be on the same level as the older. Shiro was the best pilot in the whole of the garrison- the whole world. Keith really loved Shiro, and was so proud of him for getting asked to be the pilot for the coming Kerberos mission.
And then he was gone. Shiro was on the Kerberos mission - best pilot in the world - and the mission failed due to 'pilot error.' Keith knew he was lied to. He needed to know the truth, and was kicked out because he delved too deep.
Keith had to find him. He had to... He was in love with Shiro. Shiro was all that mattered.
