During the next month, Simon and the kids had been extremely busy. All the kids had been helping him with every single last detail to make the proposal go perfectly, including helping pick the ring and the location of the proposal. The meetings had been getting longer. And they would be held in random places so that Paula couldn't catch them. They were so careful to cover up all their tracks so when the time was right, she would be completely off guard. It had been a fun and tough month with trying to make the day perfect without Paula knowing a thing.

Today was the day that they had all been waiting for. The kids had a sleepover with the Baker's the night before the proposal because it was part of their plan. After Simon and Paula had dropped the kids off, they went out for dinner, just the two of them.

"I feel like we just left the kids home alone."

"But it's nice to have adult conversations."

"I know, but I've never been away from the girls overnight before. What if they need me?"

"Well Mason and Beth will take care of it. But if they need us, they will call us."

"I know, but it's just so weird to be here without them."

"Yeah it's been a while since I've been out with my kids too."

"How do you handle being away from them?"

"Honestly I just got really busy and knew that they were in good hands."

"Yeah okay."

"So let's enjoy our night. We can do whatever we want without the kids dictating what we do."

"Yeah that sounds like fun! So what did you have in mind?"

"I have no plans, love. I was just going to let the night show us what to do."

"That sounds nice."

After dinner they took a walk around a public park holding hands and enjoying each other's company without saying a word. They got stopped a few time to autograph items for their fans. After their slow stroll, they went to get ice cream and then went home. They didn't do much, but both believed that quality was way better than quantity. As soon as they got home, they popped in a movie while snuggling on the couch. It was nice not to be bothered by the kids but neither one liked the silence. When the movie was over, about eleven, they both headed off to bed.

The next morning, Paula rolled over in bed and heard a crunch on her face. She opened her eyes and saw a piece of binder paper taped to the paper. She sat up and removed the note from her pillow. The first thing she noticed was the note looked like someone had really bad handwriting or it had been done in a hurry. She glanced at the signature at the end of the note and saw that Simon had written it. She rolled her eyes since she had already had a hard time figuring out his handwriting already without this chicken scratch.

This is what the note said: 'Morning Poodle! I was wondering if you wanted to have a scavenger hunt with me today. Please call me with your answer. Love you!-Cuddles'

Paula couldn't but smile as she grabbed the landline. She dialed his work number with the same expression.

"Ello love. How are you?"

"Hey Si! I'm good! How are you?"

I'm great, now that I'm talking to you!"

"How long do you have to work today?"
