I tried to edit this, but I love the interaction between Saula in this chapter! Hope you enjoy it!

Simon peeked his head into Paula's office. "Oh there you are, love. I've been looking everywhere for you."
"Okay what do you need?" she asked not looking up from her work.
Simon walked closer to her. "What are you doing?"
"I'm planning specific details for our day."
"But didn't you show me the final plans last night?" he asked confused.
"Oh I did, but I thought of some other things I want to include in our ceremony."
"Like what?"
"Well I was looking online and found a few websites that are about blended family ideas and I found some that I love. So I want to add in family vows, vows we can say to our new kids and there's an symbol using sand that we can show our guests that we're one family."
"That's really cool."
"Thanks I hope it'll work out."
He nodded. "Do you want help?"
"Sure thanks."
"Of course. So is the sand symbol?"
"So the seven of us; our kids, you and me all pick a color of sand. Then we'll mix all the colors together and it's like a way to show that we're going to intertwin our lives now."
"I really love that idea."
"Thanks so do I."
"So what goes into family vows?"
"Here get a chair and sit next to me."
"Or you could sit in my lap."
"No you would just make me your prisoner."
"What's wrong with that?"
"I need to get this done today because our meeting with Beth is tomorrow. I just need to everything done and all my ideas on paper and planned out."
"Well isn't that why we hired Beth?"
"We didn't hire her. She offered to help us get married. That's why her profession is called a 'wedding planner' because she plans weddings for a living."
"But why do you see the need to plan everything out before the meeting tomorrow? Isn't that something we can do while we meet with her?"
"I love having her expertise with this, but I want to have a hand in making our special day, well um special."
"Okay."
"So are you going to help me or not?"
"I said I would, didn't I?"
"Wow you don't have to be so snappy."
"I'm sorry, love. Do you forgive me?"
"Yeah."
"Now let's get started."
Then she pulled up the websites she was looking at before Simon came in. Then she wrote down ideas for parents, children and family vows that they both liked. About an hour later, the vows were mainly planned out, but it looked more like an organized mess than actual vows. Paula would be working on that project without Simon's help later.
All of a sudden, a baby monitor went off in Simon's back pocket.
"What's that?"
He stood up. "My son's awake."
