Chapter 73

As the door swung open, the kids weren't standing there in the doorway. Instead it was the neighbors from Dolphin Wave. Mason, Beth, Simon and Paula greeted their friends, but were still wondering where they were. A few neighbors told them that Dylan, Holly, Lily and Rochelle saw their cousins, who had arrived at the same time. The neighbors decided to come on in so that the two sets of parents didn't worry about where everyone was.

Just then there a roar of excited kids, that sounded more like screaming than anything else came through the door. As soon as Josh saw his parents, he let go of Isaac's hand and ran full speed to them. He ran right into Paula's arms which instantly warmed her heart. She gave him a huge hug before letting Simon hug him too. Then Isaac took Josh from Simon so that their arms will be empty to welcome in their other four kids.

"Okay are you all ready?" Isaac asked looking at the beaming parents.

"Yes!" All four exclaimed together.

"Okay, kids are you ready?" Isaac asked, already knowing the answer.

"YES!!" The eight kids yelled back.

"Okay kids, on your mark, get set and...go!!"

The kids ran as fast as they could into their parents' arms. The two couples were grateful to have all their kids back in their arms. And with that, all their nervousness subsided. All this excitement made Paula cry happy tears. Simon wouldn't admit to it, but he was tearing up too.

Paula wiped her tears. "We missed you all so much!"

"We missed you too!" Lily said trying not to get emotional.

"That was a long week," Dylan said honestly.

"Yes it was, but did you have fun?" Simon asked the kids.

"Yeah so much fun!" Holly said smiling from ear to it.

"Dad and I want to hear all about it!" Paula said with the same expression as Holly.

All their kids smiled and nodded.

"I'm so happy!" Rochelle exclaimed.

"Oh sweetie, we feel the same way!" Paula grinned as she hugged and kissed her cheek.

Suddenly the lobby got loud again, but this time it was by the arrival of all of the wedding guests including Simon and Paula's entire families. But the main roar came from the arrival of Simon's brothers.

'It must be a Cowell thing to be loud'. Paula thought.

"Okay everyone in the Cowell and Abdul families please follow me," Beth said getting everyone's attention at once.

"Uh where are we going?" Simon asked, whispering in Paula's ear.

"Your guess is as good as mine," she whispered back.

"Okay right now I just want all of the family members. Later I'll add in family friends, alright? I have a special activity for the families. So in the meantime, Mason will help all of you with signing in and getting your room keys. Anyway clans, please follow me," Beth said, getting things in order.

Beth lead the group into a conference room. It looked like she had this idea for a while now.

"Okay Cowell's to the left and Abdul's to the right. Please do that now."
