"Come on guys, get up we're here!" Simon said, waking up the kids.

"Five more minutes, Dad," Holly replied, with her eyes closed.

"No more minutes. You can sleep in the car, all right?"

Holly nodded her head slowly, as she began to stretch like her siblings. Then the kids quickly grabbed their belongings and followed their parents out of the plane, exiting the way they got on, by the large door, which connected the plane to the terminal.

"Okay kids, hold hands," Paula said, grabbing Dylan and Lily's hands.

"Why do we have to?" Rochelle asked.

"Dad and I don't want any of you to get lost or left behind," she replied looking at Rochelle.

Soon the hallway lead them to an elevator. When it came up, the family piled inside and barely had room just to stand in. Once the elevator opened, they walked over to the baggage claim. While they waited for their bags to come on the conveyor belt, Paula stayed with the kids while Simon walked over to a machine that changed American money into British currency. When he came back to his family, the announcement came on that their bags were on their way down. Simon rushed over to where the other passengers were waiting for their belongings too. He was very thankful that their bags came out first so that they could get done faster. He called Paula over to help him get the luggage to where the kids were waiting. It took less than ten minutes to get every bag off the belt and to a pile by the kids.

When Simon and Paula walked back to their kids, something caught Simon's eye. It was an advertisement for rental cars. Since no of his family knew they were coming, the family had no transportation. So he placed the luggage he was carrying on the floor and got into the line. There was only one person in front of him. When it was his turn, he got a four door automobile that had three seats in the front and three in the back. The cashier gave him the keys and pointed him out to the car that would be his until he returned it to the lot. Simon was hoping to return it within the next few days after borrowing a car from a family member or a friend by then.

"Come on guys, this way!" Simon said, gesturing for his family to follow him.

The kids walked quickly out of the airport and over to the car, desperately wanting to see the car he had picked out. The car looked and smelt new.

"Good choice, Dad," Dylan said, approving of the car.

"Thanks son," Simon replied with a smile.

"Why is the steering wheel on the right instead of the left?" Lily asked wondering.

"That's just how they make car here, sweetie," Paula said, making eye contact with her.

"I'm sorry, but that's just weird. We're just so used to it on the other side," Holly said, explaining what her sister meant.

"You'll get used to it," Paula replied.

Holly and Lily had lived in the States all their lives and didn't know any better. And with that settled and the car packed with luggage and his family, Simon turned on the engine and started down the road. It didn't take the kids long to go to sleep.

"Are you tired?" Paula asked wondering.

"No not really. We did sleep a lot on the plane," Simon said.

"Yeah that's true."

"You can sleep more if you want to, love. I'll wake you up when we get to my Mum's house."

"No that's okay. I'll keep you company."

Simon nodded as he focused his full attention back onto the road. Their car was the only one for miles. Even though it was pitched black, Simon knew exactly where he was. He and his family lived in the country as long as he could remember. When he was a little boy, he loved having a few acres to play on. And now that he was a grown up, he loved the peace and quiet that came with living in the middle of nowhere. Also he loved that it was one of the few places that he could go and the media had a hard time finding him there. With no traffic on the road, they arrived in ninety minutes than the full two hours with traffic.
