Hello! I'm going on vacation and leaving tomorrow morning. So I thought I would update now! Enjoy!

The family decided to leave as soon as they got bored because that was the only activities that they had brought with them. The kids switched vehicles so they could spend time with biological parent. As the two vehicles were pulling up to the house, the sky looked black, ready to pour. They ran into the house just as the sky began to cry.

"Mommy what are we going to do?!" Lily said freaking out since she loved being outside.

"I know what you're going to say Mom. There is no way I'm going to read a stupid book. The last time I checked I was off track and that means I turn my brain off," Holly replied getting defensive.

"Relax honey, and it's okay to learn something when you're not in school," Paula said getting on her level. "So do you guys want to play a game?" she said continuing, suggesting an idea.

"Um actually can we watch home movies, please?" Lily asked with puppy eyes.

"It's okay with me, if it's okay with Dad," Paula replied, looking at him.

"Yep that's fine," Simon said nodding.

Lily ran upstairs to Holly's suitcase, where the movies were. They spent the rest of the afternoon watching every home video that was in the house. The family watched as the kids were newborns to a few days ago when they were just acting goofy. Paula knew that they had forgotten about snacks before they started this marathon. So she got up from her seat next to Simon and went into the kitchen to make popcorn and hot chocolate. Simon followed her thinking that she would need help bringing in the snacks into the family room.

Dylan didn't want them to miss his family's video so he picked up the controls and paused it. Holly immediately stood up and quickly and quietly took the landline lying on the table. Then she walked down the hall to the closet. She turned on the light and slowly closed the door behind her. She knew that she had no more than ten minutes to make her call and get back in her seat before her parents knew that she was gone. As soon as she dialed a sweet voice answered the phone on the other end.

"Hey Nana it's Holly, how are you?"

"I'm good dear. So what can I do for you?"

"Well I just called to tell you and Papa that Dad has passed all the tests. We also approve of his relationship with Mom."

"Okay then tell him that he has our permission to marry your mother."

Holly couldn't stop smiling but managed to thank her for approving of Simon before hanging up. And with that she turned off the light and opened the door to find her parents standing outside of the door with their arms folded.

"Holly what were you doing?" Paula asked wondering.

"I was calling a friend," she said as though it was true.

"Why were you in the closet, darling?" Simon asked curiously.

"I learned how to do it from another friend. It's so much fun, you two should try it," she said trying to get out of the conversation so she could keep the plan a secret from her Mom.

"Well okay come on, you're missing family time," Paula said as she began walking towards the family room.

"I'll be there soon," she said relieved that her half-baked plan worked.

As Simon began to walk away, Holly grabbed his arm. He turned around and looked at her. She told him the truth and as a response he was overjoyed even though he was very nervous at the task in front of him. He couldn't wait to be a blended family but was nervous that she would turn him down. He knew that she wouldn't but it was a fear that he had. Within the next hour, the last video was over and the rain had finally came to an end. As Paula cleaned up the family room and the kitchen, Rochelle volunteered to help her, while the rest made a beeline for the backyard.
