Meanwhile, Simon had just received a phone call from Randy about the work meeting. When he hung up the phone, Simon was very desperate for a sitter.

"All right children, stay right here. I'll be right back," he said rushing to the front door.

"Where are you going, Dad?" Dylan asked with a puzzling look.

"I'm just going across the street to find you a sitter. Do not answer the phone or door. Just stay put," he said, while looking at both kids.

Then he swung the door open and quickly closed it. Simon knows for a fact that there's a teenage girl who lives directly across the way from his house. He remembers seeing her playing with all four of his kids before, but he has never met her. He had heard some great things about her like how she enjoys playing with them and how the kids love being with her. When he arrived on her front porch, he gently knocks on the door. Just then the girl he wanted to talk to, answered the door.

"Hello, would you mind watching my kids for me, please? I'm late for a meeting and I could really use your help. Having said this, will you please help me out?" he said talking really fast.

"Wait are you the father of Dylan, Holly, Lily and Rochelle, right?" Sydney asked, thinking she was correct on her guess."

"Yep that's them, but I only need you to watch Dylan and Rochelle."

"Okay let me go tell my parents where I will be,"

"All right."

Sydney was gone roughly a minute. When she came back, they were on their way back to the house.

"I don't think we've met before, darling. But um I've heard the kids talk about you all the time. They really love you."

"Oh that's great to know! I love them too! You and Paula have such sweet kids!"

"Thank you! So what's your name again, sweetheart? I've heard it countless amounts of times, but I just can't seem to remember it."

"I'm Sydney. It's nice to finally meet you, sir! I'm a huge fan!"

He smiled down at her. "So how does forty dollars sound?"

"It sounds great. But you don't have to pay me to watch them."

"Oh but I insist."

"Thank you so much!"

"It's the least I can do after you agreed to watch my kids at the last second."

"It's my pleasure, sir. And like I said, I love your kids."

He smiled at her again, but this time he winked at her too. "After you, Sydney."

"Thanks."

"Guys, Sydney is going to watch you, okay?"

Dylan ran full speed to Sydney and gave her a huge hug. He had a major crush on her and was going to make his move on her soon. But she was seven years his senior. Sydney was everything he was looking for in a girlfriend; tall, blonde, blue eyes, tan skin and most important aspect was she loved spending time with him. Dylan knew this for a fact because she told him more than once.

"So Sydney, there's leftovers in the fridge for supper. I'll be home around nine. I want the kids to be in their pajamas before I get home. The children need to be either getting ready for bed or already in bed when I come back," he said, giving her the instructions.

"Okay I got this don't worry, Simon," she said grinning.

"Thanks again! Children be on your best behavior, alright?" he said looking at them.
