As Simon parked the car onto the driveway, there wasn't a soul in sight.

"Wow I thought the kids would be out," he said shocked.

"Yeah I thought so too. But maybe Mason told Beth that CPS was following us home, so maybe that's why she kept the kids inside," she said, thinking out loud.

"That's a good theory, love."

"Thanks."

Josh clapped his hands.

Paula turned around, smiling at him. "Are you excited to be home, baby boy?"

"Yeah!"

Simon looking at the rear view mirror with a huge grin. "I bet you are! Come on son, let's go see your brother and sisters!"

As they were getting out of the car, two other vechiles pulled up. Simon took it as his cue to get Josh out of his car seat as Paula retrieved their belongings. Mason walked up to his friends.

"Ello Uncle Mason."

"Hi there!" He ruffled the little boy's hair. "Guys don't over think this process. You got this," he continued giving them sound advice.

"Thanks," Paula said hugged her friend.

"Hello folks!" Alex Dawson said with a grin.

Simon looked at Joshua. "Son, Mr. Dawson is going to help us adopt you."

"Si, he doesn't understand that," Paula said.

"I know. I'm just telling him what's going on."

"Okay. Anyway welcome to our home."

"Thank you."

Then the group finally went into the house to find Simon and Paula's other children holding signs that said 'Welcome Home Baby Brother'.

"Aww that's so sweet!" Paula looked like she could cry.

"Um Mommy, what happened to his arm?" Lily asked, concerned about Joshua.

Paula got her level. "He got hurt, baby."

"Yeah I know but how? Aunt Beth didn't tell us."

"Lilybug, Daddy and I will explain it later."

"Okay," Lily nodded. She seemed satisfied with that answer.

Then the kids greeted their parents, Mason and Josh. After the love fest was over, Mr. Dawson asked about the family dyamics including who was biologically related to one another. Paula told him all about their blended family. He seemed pleased with the response she gave him.

"And is this their nanny?"

"No this is my wife, Beth. The children's nanny lives across the street. Beth was just watching these wonderful children while their parents were at the hosptial with the little boy."

"Oh okay."

Paula smiled. "Yeah the Baker's are very close family friends."

"Yes I see that and I love it!"

"Okay kids let's go check out my patrol car!" Mason said as he picked up Josh.

"Yes! I'm driving!" Dylan said sprinting out of the house.
