After Paula answered the door, she saw her kids walking into the entryway. She took this opportunity to tell them what was going on.
"So who's staying with us?" Dylan asked.
"Sydney and these three boys; Isaac, Brandon and Jake Willis. I think you've at least met them before."
"Is Sydney here?" Isaac asked, not seeing her around.
"Yes, do you know her?" she asked wondering as she looked at him.
"Knows her? He loves her," Brandon said with a smirk.
"He has a huge crush on her," Jake replied, adding in what his brother had forgotten.
Sydney came downstairs while holding a very tired Joshua in her arms. Suddenly she noticed Isaac standing there. She slyly pinched her skin to see if she was awake and she was.
"Hey Issac," she said with a shy smile.
"Oh hey Syd...ney. I didn't see you come in," he replied trying to act cool. "How's it going?" he asked returning the smile.
"Smooth Isaac, just smooth." Brandon said, rolling his eyes at his brother's epic fall.
"Shut up, both of you," he said sternly.
"I...I'm good, Isaac. How are you?" she asked, getting Isaac's attention again.
He grinned. "I'm good now that you're here."
Sydney couldn't stop smiling. She had a crush on him since they were little. She didn't know that he knew she existed. When they were in high school, she was what was known as a 'nerd' and he was labeled a 'jock'. Isaac was really popular while Sydney had a few close friends. But maybe now that they were adults, maybe they could go on a date sometime.
"Okay kids so these four are going to watch you while us adults go pick up Josh's belongings from his old house. Dad and I want to hear good reports, please make that happen, okay? Love you all!"
Then the kids expressed love for their parents and a hug fest broke out. Afterwards the adults left, while the kids headed back to the backyard. Brandon and Jake played with the kids while Sydney and Isaac sat on the patio chairs and chatted.
"So how long have you been their sitter?"
"Oh um a few months, but it feels longer. I have siblings around their ages so I would supervise and play with them way before I was their babysitter."
Isaac nodded.
"So what about you? How long have you known them?"
"Well my family and I have lived right next door to Holly and Lily since before they were born. Yeah a very long time," he said chuckling at the end.
"What's so funny?"
"Mainly they are. They can entertain me for hours."
"Yeah me too. But that's so cute you've known them their whole lives! So have they always been so sweet?"
"Yes they have been. Well to me they're always sweet."
She smiled knowing exactly what he meant. This prompted Issac and Sydney began to swap stories about the adventures they have had with the kids.
Meanwhile the six adults; Mason, Beth, Simon, Paula, John Willis and Mason's younger brother Max had just arrived at Terri's residence. John is the father of Issac, Brandon and Jake Willis. While the men helped Mason park the moving van, Beth and Paula walked up to the house. Beth found a spare key underneath the mat and opened the front door.
