Chapter 9

Joel's Pov;

We were getting in the car. Christopher was gonna drive, Zabdiel in the drivers passenger seat next to him. Then Richard and Erick were by the Windows in the back and Yoandri was between them. Me and Perla in the farther back seats. I was just as happy as Yoandri was. I wanted to know more about Perla. She's so beautiful and shes amazing. That day at the beach i couldn't believe she was going through all of that. Her step dad is gonna pay for hurting her, her mom and my best friend.

"So where we gonna go first?" Perla asked.

"Well what do you want to see first?" Christopher asked.

"Well you guys were gonna show me around. Pues yo que voy a saber. Acuérdense, im a Tejana" she said with a laugh.

"Well we could take her to that amusement park by the studio" Zabdiel said.

"Sure why not? It sounds fun" she said.

"Alright then. Where ever the princess desires" Christopher said as he started the car.

I saw that Perla blushed and that Yoandri kind of looked bothered by it and for some reason so was i. But why? Why am i jealous? Im not sure what to feel.

**at the amusement park parking lot

"Alright one thing i need to make clear. The one thing i hate about amusement park is the roller coasters" Perla said.

"What?! Pero como nena? Thats what amusement parks are mostly about! The roller coasters" Erick said.

"Well one thing imma make clear. No matter how much you guys will beg me, you're not gonna change my mind. I have a fobia of roller coasters" she said.

We all started to laugh.

"Well if you say so hermanita. What ever the princess desires" Yoandri said.

"Bitch imma queen" she said as she posed.

"Sure what ever queen"  Yoandri said.

We laughed. Then we walked inside the park. There were a bunch of rides and other fun stuff. First Richard and Christopher wanted to get on a roller coaster but one of us had to go on it with them. They gave Perla the look but she turned her back towards them. Then they dragged Zabdiel into going with them.

"Andale Zab. Its not gonna hurt you. Its gonna be fun" Christopher said.

"No im not gonna do it" Zabdiel said. "Dile a uno de los cubanos"

"Pero they already dijieron que no" Richard said. "Andale Zabdi. Si no te subes, we're not gonna get you comida" Richard said with a smirk.

"Ughh esta bien. Pero if i throw up on one of yall dont be mad" Zabdiel said.

"Yay!!" Christopher said jumping up and down like crazy. Then Richard did the same too.

"You guys are extra" Perla said with a laugh.

The guys then went on their way to the ride but Zabdiel kept walking so slow that Richard had to push him to get him to walk.

"So what do you guys wanna do while we wait?" Yoandri asked.

"Well maybe we should get on a ride." Erick said.

"You guys can go, ill wait here for the guys" Perla said.

"Alright hermanita. You coming potato?" Yoandri asked.

"Nah ill stay here and wait with Perla" i said.

"Ok. We're going on that thing over there by the food court so when the guys come down we'll be over there" Erick said.

Erick and Yoandri walked away and it was just me and Perla. There was this huge tension between us. What do i say? What do we talk about? I started to turn a bit red and sweat like crazy.

"Joel are you ok?" she asked me.

"Y-Yeah im fine. Just a little hot you know" i said.

Nice job with the stuttering Pimentel.

"Are you sure?"

"Yeah i-im fine. Hey i dont wanna just stand here this whole time. The line is super long and the guys havent gotten on yet. Yoyo and Erick will be back before they even get on. Im wondering if u want to go on the faris wheel with me?" i said running my hand through my hair.

"Y-yeah sure" she said.

I noticed she was blushing real hard. I was blushing too. What if she likes me? Most of all what if i like her?

Perla's Pov;

"Im wondering if u want to go on the faris wheel with me?"

Those words Joel told me and kept repeating in my head. I dont know why but i blushed and so did he. I think i like Joel but no i cant. He's my brothers best friend and we live in the same house. We walked down to the faris wheel and the good thing is that there wasnt that much of a line. There were two people in front of us. Then afterwards it was our turn to get on. Next thing i knew we were already in the sky. Then Joel broke the silence.

"Nice day today" he said.

"Yeah i guess so"

"So are you exicted for tomorrow?" he asked.

"Oh yeah right i almost forgot about the tour" i said with a laugh.

"I cant wait to see our old friends from La Banda. Its honestly been a real long time" he said looking at the sky.

"Yeah it must be nice to have friends you miss" i said not making eye contact.

"What do you mean? Dont you have friends back in Texas?"

"Not really. Well, i dont consider her a friend. More like a sister you know?"

"Yeah. I get you"

"Its just i honestly dont know if i should've moved out here with my mom and him. I could've just stayed with my dad but i just couldn't leave my mom with that monster. But if i hadnt, i would've never met Yoyo and you and the rest of the guys"

"Im glad you also look at it that way" he said as he put his arm around my shoulder. "And since he did kick you out, he might lay low for a bit. But you're with us now and hes not gonna hurt you anymore. Im here for you and no one will hurt you as long as your with me"

"Thank you Joel. It really means a lot to know you guys care" i said.

"Dont thank me. Its been my job when you steped foot to our house. Anyone in our house is loved. Know i love you very much" he said with a smile.

I started to blush and a smile was on my face.

"Thank you" i said.

"Like i said dont thank me. And im not sure if you'll talk to me after this but.." he said dazing off.

"What do you mean?" i said confused.

"I mean this" he said as he placed his soft lips onto mine....
