Finally! I'm meeting with my beloved friend! I get up all excited dressing as fast as possible while Angus is chasing me all over the apartment. I pat his head and reassure him that he is definitely accompanying me. Why not after all? Emily loves this little guy! I grab my phone and keys while I look outside of my apartment.
"It seems like we got ourselves a sunny day Angus!".
While I get outside of the door I place my foot inside it to keep it from closing. Damn, I always forget my sunglasses!
I grab them as fast as possible, linking the leash onto Angus's collar, making sure I'm ready to leave. The moment I turn the key I hear Adam's door opening.
"Hey, Valeria!"
"Oh hi there Adam, how are you?" Damn it! I don't feel like chatting so early!
"I'm good, thanks... I was wondering if you have some time for the coffee you were talking about? We can go some place out if you want to, or we can just stay inside?"
"Oh, I'm so sorry Adam. Today is not a good day, I'm meeting a friend in about fifteen minutes, rain check?" I see Adam's face sulking in the sound of "friend" but I couldn't cancel on Emily. She is one of the few parts of my past that I like.
"It's ok, no worries. Maybe tomorrow?"
"Tomorrow sounds good." I reply while winking at him on my way out. A smile brightens his face.
On my way to the park I remember that I've promised Emily a cup of chailatte. God this girl and her weird tastes! I stop by to a peddler and grab Emily's coffee tea thing and my iced coffee. Angus is staring at me begging once again but this time he is unlucky, sorry you little glutton! I thank the guy and start pacing faster since my little encounter with Adam got me a bit off of track.
When I got to the park I found Emily jumping up and down the moment she saw me with her arms wide opened while theatrically bending her back backwards. How much I've missed that woman! I start running towards her, pretending to be in slow motion in order to keep the coffees in their containers. I release Angus's leash from my grip and he storms towards Emily like he just had indeed the two caps of coffee!
Emily being so petite, and my dog... well not so much... Is unable to control him and soon enough she falls on her butt while Angus's showing his love with many kisses in her face still not stopping from moving around her. By the time Emily manages to stand up I'm literally steps away from her with a big stupid smile on my face.
"My little ballerina, how much have I missed you!"
"Finally lover!"
We both hug each other really tight unable to believe that our paths have crossed again. I tilt my head on the right showing Emily a bench by the water that's quiet enough for us to finally have a little chat. Emily always with the same sweet look in her face nods in agreement. I place my arm in front of her asking her to be my company.
