Finally! It was a week out of hell... So busy, so stressing, so painful. As I had imagined I had to work on Saturday as well, leaving me no time to see any of my friends or Nathan. I have to findwhat I'm going to wear tomorrow at the gala. I had barely crashed on my couch with Angus when someone knocked on my door. I groaned and cursed a little bit louder than I should have as I dragged myself towards the door to see who's knocking. Opening slightly the door I saw a man dressed in black holding a large white box in his arms.

"Hello?" I look at him puzzled.

"Miss S I suppose?" His look is blunt, indifferent.

"That's me..."

"This is for you." I open the door a little bit more so he can enter and place the box on the counter.

"Thank you? Who's it from?"

"I'm just the delivery man ma'am, I cannot answer that unfortunately."

"Oh? Ok... Thank you."

I take my wallet out to give him a tip but the man kindly refused before taking off. What a strange old fellow... I start opening the package carefully, trying not to destroy anything. I was never patient with opening gifts but with an expensive packaging like that? I'll be damned if I destroy it! Inside the box there is this beautiful silk paper that covers a dress. My mouth drops when I finally unfold a ruby satin masterpiece. This looks so expensive! How? Who? Why? I start undressing myself like a maniac in order to try it on.

The fabric is so delicate... So soft, making me feel like I was wearing a cloud. It hugs perfectly my body. It reveals my leg up to the thigh while it drops softly on my chest exposing just about the right amount of my cleavage. I wonder if it would allow me to wear any underwear... I start searching the package to find a note but I fail miserably. It must be my Nathan; he got me that beautiful mask too. I can't wait for him to see me in that dress! It's been ages since I've talked to Em... I should call her right now. The phone doesn't ring many times before Emily answers.

"My little ballerina!"

"Hey lover!"

"Are you ready for your first gala?"

"I'm so anxious actually!"

"I know you are! Don't forget to ask Adam to be your date! And the dress code!"

"Girl stop howling at me! Of course I won't forget! What are you wearing?"

"You'll see tomorrow. It's a surprise."

"If you wear some sloppy outfit I swear I'll punch you."

"Who knows?! Maybe I will." I hear Emily groaning loud before we start laughing.

"Is Nathan picking you up? Please don't tell me you're taking Beast..."

"No, no. I have to arrange something before I join you guys. I'll just grab a taxi."

"We can pick you up lover."

"Thanks Em but I don't know what time I'll be done. I don't want to push Colt to his limits. Especially since he knows I'm dating Nate."

"Yeah that's wise. Anyways lover I have to hang up; Adam will be here soon."

"Oh?!"

"We have a date! I still can't believe I'm going steady with someone like him!"
