The Darkness Inside

Ch:2

The guy that sat next to me tapped me on my shoulder. I slowly opened my eyes and he said "time to get up, we are landing". I rubbed my eyes and said "thanks". I grabbed my backpack and put it around my back. The guy next to me grabbed my blanket and pillow and gave it to the flight attendent.

The plane dropped and we landed on the runway. I looked out the window and saw a city only a few miles away. The plane pulled up to the hatch where the hallway is. The flight attendent opened the dorr and said "all clear". She stood to the other side of the door and let us off.

The guys got out first, but gestured me to go infront of them. I said "thanks" and got out into the aisle. I walked down the hallway leading into the Scranton airport. I looked around and the airport was filled with people. But something didnt seem right to my wolf. She said "I smell vampires". I said "calm down, we cant make a scene".

I continued to walk and soon I found the doors leading outside. I walked along the sidewalk and the guys from the plane pulled up next to me in their car. I asked "how did you get your car here"? They said "we had it sent here a while back". I kept walking then one asked "you want a ride"? I stopped and thought for a few seconds.

I said "sure". They stopped and I got in the back. I asked "where are you guys going"? One of them said "well we are going to look for an apartment to stay at". I said "same". The driver said "well we can all find an apartment complex and get rooms that are next to eachother". I said "sure". I leaned my head against the window and looked out at the scenery.

When we pulled out of the airport almost right away we hit the city. One said "god this is a big city. After we all looked around I said "theres an apartment complex over to your right". The guy who was driving turned right and pulled up to the complex.

We all got out and went into the building marked office. I walked over and rung the bell sitting on the counter. An old woman came out and I asked "how much for 2 rooms a month"? She said "100 a month". I looked back and said "I'll get an apartment here". They nodded their heads and said "we will too".

I smiled at the old lady and said "2 rooms please". She gave me 2 keys and she said "we will start billing you next month, first month is free here". I said "thank you". I tossed the guys a key and I kept one for myself. She handed us some paperwork to fill out. It took us about 5 minutes to fill it out.

After we gave the paperwork back to the old lady we went up to the top floor and located our rooms. As I was opening the door the guys asked "whats your name"? I looked back and said "Shelby". I asked "whats yours"? The guy that sat next to me said "I'm Ricky". The guy who drove said "I'm Thomas, but you can call me T.J". I said in a questioning tone "ok, see you later then". They smiled and Ricky said "yeah, after we get some rest from the jet lag we will find the closest mall. Then we can go to hot topic". T.J said "we will go in 5 hours. But for now lets just get some sleep".

I walked into my apartment and closed the door behind me. I looked around and set my backpack on the bed. I walked over and opened a sliding glass door. I walked out and it lead to a small outside porch. I looked down and say that it was a good 50 foot drop.I looked over at Ricky and T.J.'s apartment porch.

They were outside smoking cigaretts. Ricky asked "Shelby, your apartment any good inside"? I said "well it will be good enought for me, what about you"? Ricky said "yeah, we will stay here too". I looked back down and said "welcome to our new homes".

I walked back inside and walked over to the bed. I put my backpack on the floor and I examined the bed. I checked for bedbugs, but there were none so I pulled down the covers and laid in the bed. I closed my eyes and set the alarm on my clock for 7 tonight. I closed my eyes and fell asleep.

7:00  AT NIGHT:

The alarm went off so I got up and shut it off. I walked over to my bag and I put on some make-up. After my make-up was finished I brushed through my hair to get all the knots out. Then I grabbed some money out of the side pocket in the backpack. I put the money in my pocket and went over to the door. I put my keys in my pocket and locked the door. I went to the door to my left. I knocked on the door and Ricky opened it.

He walked out and screamed "T.J lets go"! T.J came running over to the door. He pushed Ricky forward and locked the door behind him. We all walked down the steps and went out to the parking lot. We got into the car and and put our seatbelts on. T.J pulled out and said to Ricky, punch this in the gsp so we can get back here later.

I said "yeah, that would be nice to know where our apartments are". T.J said "ok" then Ricky handed him the gps. T.J downloaded the apartment address into the gps and said "ok, now we wont get lost". Ricky said "lets go find a mall so we can get Shelby some hot topic clothes"!
