The Darkness Inside

Ch:39

When Reedus and I connected I sunk my teeth into his neck. He yelped and he tried to shake me off, but I had a death grip on him. Chris stood and watched with a terrified look on his face. Reedus whipped me to the side and he smacked my head off of the wall.

I fell to the floor and things got blurry. Reedus snarled and wlaked towards Chris. I said "Chris...run"! Chris started to run. He ran down the steps and into the packs fighting. Josh seen him so he howled to me saying "he's with me".

I picked myself up and I made my way down the stairs. Reedus and Josh were fighting now. Reedus say trying to get at Chris, but Josh was holding him back. He was taking numerous blows to the stomach from Reedus's sharp nails.

I ran over and I ran into Reedus knocking him off of his feet. I bit down on his neck again. He grabbed my head and he threw me into the cement of the parking lot. I got knocked out for a few seconds. I looked around and I seen Reedus throw Josh to the ground.

Josh tried to grab him, but Reedus punched him and he smacked his face off of the ground. Reedus ran after Chris. He grabbed him then everybody stopped fighting. I picked myself off of the floor and I started to run towards them.

I tried to use my powers on Reedus, but I hurt Chris too, so I couldnt use my powers. Reedus said "stop right there". I said as I began to cry "Reedus, please...please sont hurt him.If you love me then you would want me to be happy. Please, just let him go".

Chris looked at me then he said "I love you Shelby". I said "I love you too". Reedus said "enough already". I said "please, kill me instead...please just dont hurt him". Reedus said "but thats the thing. I want you to stay alive so we can be mates, but with Chris in the way, you wont be my mate".

I said "it doesnt have to happen this way, just let him go, he has nothing to do with this". Reedus laughed then he said "but what if I want him dead". I said "if you kill him then you may as well kill me too because I cant live without him". Reedus said "you will be fine".

His eyes glowed red then he smiled a devilish smile. He got his wolf claws out then he stabbed them into Chris's stomach. I screamed "NO"! Reedus dug his nails deeper into his stomach then he pulled them out. In my banshee voice I screamed "CHRIS"! He let go of Chris. Chris dropped to the floor then he started to gasp for air.

Reedus said "c'mon boys, let's get out of here"! They ran into the woods and we were all standing there. I ran over to Chris and I scooped him into my arms. I said "oh god no...please stay with my babe". I grabbed his hand and I took in all of his pain. I screamed as I took in all of his pain.

He said "I love you Shelby". I said "dont say your goodbyes yet". I said "someone call the cops"! Josh and Mikayla took out their phones and they both called the cops. I pressed my hand down on his wound and he began to screma in pain. I did too because I took in a lot more of his pain.

There was blood everywhere. He started to close his eyes so I said "Chris stay with me". I cried because I didnt know what else I could do. I kept taking in pain, but that only helped him be a nit more comfy.

Chris squeezed my hand then he said "I love you Shelby". I said "I love you too, but your not going anywhere yet". I ran my hand through his hair then I smiled when I heard sirens. They grew louder and louder as they drove towards us.

They pulled into the parking lot and 2 paramedics ran over to us with a stretcher. I helped them raise Chris onto it. I kissed his head then I said "dont worry babe, you'll be ok"! They ran him back into the ambulance and I asked "can I ride with him...please"? The guy said "hop in". I got in and we sped to the hospital.

I sat next to Chris and I held his hand. I closed my eyes and I bit my lip as I took in all of his pain. I wanted to scream for multiple reasons, but I held it together for Chris. I didnt want to see him in pain. The guy in the back with us said "his heart is beating slowly...if he doesnt get blood now he has a high risk of bleeding out in here".

I held out my wrist and I said "take as much as you need". He grabbed a needle and a blood bag. He stuck the needle in my arm and I watched as the blood bag started to fill up with my blood. AFter the bag was half full he took the needle out of me. He disposed of the needle and replaced it with a new one.

He hung the bag of blood on a hanger in the ambulance. He stuck the new needle into Chris's arm. He said "you possibly just saved his life". I smiled then I said "I would give up my own life to save him". He said "you must be his girlfriend". I smiled then I said "yeah".

 I got a text from Mikayla. She said "we are all coming to the hospital, we will be there in about 30 minutes". Just as I finished reading it we were already pulling into the hospital. They parked the car at the front enterance. We opened the doors and we rushed him into the hospital.

I walked with them down the halls as doctors started to swarm him. One nurse held me back. He was tall and very muscular. He said "sorry hun, but you have to wait out here". I said "but I need to be with him, he is my boyfriend". I tried to walk past him, but he grabbed me and he said "you have to wait out here".

He walked me over to a chair and I started to break down crying. I cried into my hands. I was hysterical. I was trembling and I was starting to freak out. My wolf nails dug into my face so I calmed down. My nails went away as I controlled my breathing.

As I sat in the waiting room it felt like an eternity. The nurse from before came back over to me. He said "he is in surgery right now, but they don't know for sure of he is going to make it or not". I cried into my hands again not knowing what to do.

The nurse was called into the operating room where Chris was. I sat back down in the seat and I cried some more. As I cried I felt multiple hands wrap around me. I opened my eyes and I seen everybody. Dustin, his vamps, Ethan, Aiden, Josh, Becky, Jamie, Mikayla, Elisha, and her hunters.

Josh, Mikayla, and Dustin were all hugging me. I got up then I wrapped my arms around Josh. I said "he is in surgery right now. They dont know if he's going to make it or not". As I listened to myself say those words I got even more upset. Josh hugged me tightly then he said "we will figure something out".
