The Darkness Inside

Ch:23

After we walker around for a bit we decided to go back into the stadium so the girls could get the pit  right next to the stage. I got back up onto the stage while the girls all found their spots. I said to Mikayla "remember, save me a spot". She nodded so I kept walking.

I walked over to Chris who was pulling the curtain closed. He was closing it so nobody could see anything too early. After he closed the curtains the guard said "ok we are letting people in". As soon as the doors opened people started to flood into the arena. I smiled as I told Chris "they will all be watching you guys". He smiled and said "now I'm nervous, we've really never performed for this many people before".

I walked up behind him and I wrapped my arms around his lower stomach. I said "babe, you and the guys are amazing, you will do awesome out there, trust me"! He turned around and wrapped his arms around my shoulders. He kissed my forehead then he said "I couldnt ask for a better girlfriend then you". We both smiled. I started to blush so I said "and I couldnt ask for a better boyfriend". He smiled and bent down to kiss me.

While we kissed I heard another van pull up. I took my lips off of Chris's so I could look over. It was Slipknots van. I said "oh my god, thats them"! Chris said "lets go say hi and see if they need help bringing in anything".

We walked down the side of the stage steps and we walked over to their van. The main singer looked over and he said "hey guys". I said "hey, I'm a huge van of your"! He smiled and said "well thanks cutie". Chris said "nice to meet you man, I'm one of your opening acts". He smiled and said "thanks, we really appriciate it". I asked "do you need anything carried in"? He said "only heavy stuff sweetheart".

I asked "like what"? He said "everything ib that pile over there". I walked over and I picked up 2 big  black and red cases. He said "damn your a strong little one". I smiled and said "thanks". Chris walked over and grabbed 2 big cases to, but he struggled. Hlaf way up the steps he stopped to reposition his hands. I set mine down and I walked back over to him.

I reached out and I grabbed one of the cases. He said "thanks babe, I didnt know how much longer I could hold it" I smiled as I brought it over to the other cases. Chris came over and set his case he carried next to mine.

The guys from slipknot came walking up also carrying cases. Chris asked them "how do you control your nervousness on stage"? The main guy said "well, pretend like your singing to your family, friends, or your girlfriend".

Chris put his arm around me and he said "so thats all there is to it, doesnt seem so bad". I said "just look at me when I'm donw in the pit, pretend like you are performing in your basement for me". He said "ok, sounds easy enough". Jerry walked over again and he said "ok welcome guys, now lets get this stuff off of the stage so we can bring out our first act".

I helped move all of the cases off of the stage and into a hallway. New years Day walked onto the stage and I asked "you ready"? ASh smiled and said "as long as you announce it"! I found the hole in the curtain so I walked out from behind the curtain and people started to clap and scream. I grabbed the mic and I said "welcome everybody, there will be 3 opening acts this evening. So lets welcome the first one to the satge, NEW YEARD DAY"!

The crowd clapped as the curtain opened up. I quickly walked to the side of the stage and I entered the hallway. Chris and the guys were standing there. He said "good job babe, now you have to do that 3 more times". I smiled and I said "yep".

We listened to New Years Day until they were finished. The stage closed and they came running into the hallway. We all talked for a few seconds then In This Moment walked in. They walked out and I did to. I went through the hole in the curtain again and they started to clap again. I said "now it's time for In This Moment"!
