The Darkness Inside

Ch:50

(LAST CHAPTER IN THIS BOOK)!

 I roamed around the forest looking like a lost dog. Fear spread all over my body. My mate and my pack was gone. There was no trace of them. Did they want to leave me? Did they secretly not like me? I had no idea.

Up ahead there was a box lying on the ground. I quickly sprinted over to it then I opened it. There in the box was the black dress and mask that I wore on the night of the ball. There was a small note in the box. It said "hey beautiful, put this on. Then follow the hidden path. Look for more notes".

Happiness and curiosity took over. The fear left my body completely. I looked around to make sure that there was nobody was there. There wasn't anybody around so I took off my shirt and my pants. I took the dress from the box.

I carefully put it on then I set my shirt and pants inside of the box. There was also a mirror and make up in the box so I did my make up. I used my powers to straighten my hair so it looked pretty good. I grabbed the mask then I put it on.

I wiped my hands across the air in front of me. My powers blew all of the leaves off of the ground. A stone path peeked out from under the leaves. I smiled then I made my powers 10 times stronger. Once all of the leaves were off of the path I started to follow it.

There were notes posted on tree's that said "keep going, almost there, just a bit further". I smiled because it was all so cute. I wanted to just run to where ever this place led me to, but I kept a steady walking pace.

As it got dark out little stringed lamps started to light up my path. It was beautiful. Then when I walked past a tree I seen lights up ahead. More than just string lamps. Then I seen figures. They were my pack members. There wolf eyes were glowing in the light.

As I walked closer I seen that they were all dressed up. Then I heard music. A hand grabbed mine. It was Becky. She didn't say anything. All she did was lead me into a big white tent. Inside there was a table set for 2.

It was beautiful. There were stringed lights hanging everywhere. There was a stereo playing music. Becky pulled out my chair then she gestured me to sit down. I looked at her. She was wearing a pretty blue dress and a sparkly blue mask.

I took a seat then she scooted me in. I sat there not knowing what to expect next. As I got relaxed and comfy in my sat someone set their hand on my shoulder. The figure bent down and kissed the top of my head. I smiled then I said "you scared me back there".

The figure whispered "sorry babe, but t was the only was that we could escape to get ready". Of course it was Chris. He walked over to his side of the table then he sat down. He had the same tux and mask on that he wore at the ball. 

I smiled then I asked "what's the occasion"? He smiled back then he said "just wait, you'll see". I got more and more excited. His make-up was perfect and his piercings were just too cute. His mask was perfect also.

He took a seat at the other chair on the other side of the small table. Once he sat down he grabbed my hand that was resting on my side of the table. He kissed my hand then he held it in his. I couldn't stop my smiling. He looked at me then he said "you look absolutely beautiful Shelby".

I blushed not being able to contain my happiness. He seen how happy I was so it made him smile back. He snapped his fingers and Ethan and Aiden came in. Ethan poured wine into the wine glasses on the table. Aiden set down plates then he places nice juicy stakes on our plates.

They quickly walked back out of the tent. Once they were out I seen all of them peek through the flap on the opening of the tent. I smiled at how nice they looked. When I turned around and seen Chris. He was holding up our wine glasses.

I smiled a I took mine. I said "red wine, how classy". He laughed then he said "I know...it's super classy". Before I could take a sip I let him speak. He said "to the most beautiful girl in the world and to the love of my life". I blushed again then I held up my glass.

I chimed in saying "AND to the love of MY life and my one and only". We both smiled then we tapped our glasses together. We took a sip of the wine then Chris grabbed a knife. He cut into his bloody stake and he began to devour it. I did the same thing as he did.

The stake was delicious. It was so rare and juicy. Whoever cooked t was an excellent chef. Once I swallowed a mouthful I asked "who cooked this"? Chris smiled then he said "your looking at him". I said "that was amazing babe, you are excellent at cooking" He smiled ten he said "well I cant argue with that".

Chris took another sip of wine then he got up. He walked over to the stereo then he turned it on. Our song "Angel Eyes" came on. He walked over to me then he held out his hand. I took ahold of it hen he spun me into his arms.

We danced to the song with large smiles on both of our faces. He rested his cheek the side of my head. I wrapped my arms around his neck then I closed my eyes. He wrapped his arms around my lower back. He held me close to him. So close that our bodies were touching.

I got even closer to him as I rested my head where his heart was. His heart was pumping with joy. He laid his head on top of mine then he whispered "lets just stay like this forever". I said "as long as I'm with you". Chris kissed the top of my head then he said "forever and always baby".

After the song was over it played again. I guess he has it on loop. I didn't mind because I loved that song and I loved to dance to it with him. I could live in this moment forever. After it was done playing for a second time, I went to sit down, but Chris said "one more time. please". I walked back over to him then I wrapped my arms around him again.

This time when the song played it sounded different. At the beginning before the song started it said "this song is dedicated to my one and only". It was Chris's voice. After that him and his band came over the stereo.

Chris and his band played and recorded the song just for me. I looked up at him as tears welled up in my eyes. I said "I cant believe you did this Chris, that is the sweetest thing anyone has ever done for me". He kissed my forehead then he said "I can d way more for you than jus that. You deserve anything and everything your little heart desires"

I said "all I want is you". I wrapped my arms around his neck then I kissed him. He kissed me back then he said "wait a second, let me tie my shoe". As he got down on his one knee I looked down ad I realized that they weren't untied.

Chris stood on his one knee then he pulled a small black box out from his coat pocket. He looked up at me then he said "Shelby, I could say so much, but hen we would be here forever. You have made me the most happiest person ever. Before I met you I was always mad or sad, but the you came along. You made me smile. You made me want to wake up everyday knowing that I was still alive. I just ant to spend the rest of my life with you. Shelby, will you marry me"?
