The Darkness Inside

Ch:27

I said to Mikayla "we need to get Dustin back here as soon as possible, Reedus needs to die". Alexia asked "why does he want me"? I said "he's using you and bait, he's trying to lure me in, but I'm not gonna let him hurt you, neither is your sister or Josh".

Mikayla said "let's get out of here, we need to leave". I said "we have to wait for Josh to come back". She held onto Alexia then she said "what if he comes back"? I said "first of all there are 3 of us and one of him. My powers and strenght will keep him away. You guys are my backup incase something happens to me".

We found a bench to sit on while we waited for Josh to get back. I listened carefully as I heard Josh howl from outside. He asked "where are you guys"? I said "we are sitting on a bench by the food court".  A few minutes later Josh came over and I got up off of the bench. I asked "is Chris safe at Devins house"? Josh said "yes, dont worry about him, he will be fine". I said "he better be".

I looked around then I said "ok, lets pick up his scent and we'll follow it". I said to Mikayla "you and Alexia stay together". Josh said "ok, I'll look down here". I said "ok, I'll look on the second floor". Mikayla said "Alexia and I can  search in the food court, theres so many people in there". I said "ok, I'll text everyone in about 20 minutes to meet back here. I fanyone see's anything then send a text to us or howl".

I grabbed Josh's phone and Iput Mikayla's number into it so we can all can communicate through texts. I said "be careful guys". We all broke off and we headed to our destinations. As I walked upstairs I smelled Reedus. The scent was really strong and powerful. I looked around, but I didnt see him so I started to follow the scent.

As I followed the scent I sent a text to them saying "his scent is really strong up here". Mikayla said "we smell nothing down here". Josh said "me neither". I said "ok then you guuys start at the other end of the second floor, that way we trap him in the middle". Mikayla said "but it's not like we can just kill him in the middle of a populated mall". I said "I know, but I have a plan for when that time comes".

They got to the other side of the second floor and we began to work out way to the middle. I noticed that his scnet was stronger on my side. I looked and I seen a door. It has a red exit sign on the front of it. I said "you smart son of a bitch".

I said "over here" and they quickly walked over to me. I said "he went through here". I pushed the door open and we walked down a long hallway. His scent got stroger and stronger the more we walked down the hallway. The lights flickered on and off, but that wasnt stopping me from finding him. I made my eyes shine so I could see in the dark.

I looked back and they were all going the same thing. I said "cmon, lets see where he went". I started to run down the hallway until I came to another door. I opened it and it lead to a back parking lot. I seen Reedus standing in the tree lines. He was looking at me.

I transformed and I ran after him. Josh transformed and he ran after him too, but he wasnt as fast as me or Reedus. I snarled and I said "YOUR DEAD REEDUS"! Reedus said "come on honey, dont get all pissed off at me now". Hwturned around and his claws went into my stomach. He liftme me up and his claws tore through my fur. Josh saw what he was doing so he charged after him and he got me off of him.

I placed my paws over my stomach as I tried to stop the bleeding. After Josh bit Reedus hard on the neck Reedus ran away into the woods. Josh ran over and transformed into his human. I did too and I said "that hurt like a bitch". He asked "do you want me to take you to a hospital"? I said "no, I can heal myself, it will just take some time though".

My powers seeped into the wounds and they mended them. I took my bloody hands off of my stomach and the claw marks were gone and I wasnt bleeding anymore. Josh helped me up while Mikayla and Alexia came running to us. Mikayla said "Dustin is here, and he had a lot of vamps with him, theres also a girl named Elisha here".

I smiled and I asked "where are they"? She said "back behind the mall, follow m...". Before she could finish I ran through the woods and I ran back to the mall. I seen a gathering of vamps then I seen Elisha and the other hunters.

Elisha saw me, but she didnt recognize me. I said "Elisha, it's me, Shelby"! She asked in an exciting tone "Shelby, is that really you"? I shook my head and we ran to eachother. I hugged her tightly and she did the same back to me. She said "I missed you so much"! I said "I missed you too".

Elisha backed away and she looked at me. She said "well, looks like you've had a make-over, I like it, I love your ahir". I smiled and I said "thanks, you look good too". Dustin said "Shelby, you look amazing". I walked over to him and I said "just because we are both trying to kill Reedus doesnt mean I'm coming back to you, I have a boyfriend that I love and care for a lot".

Josh said "Chris just texted me, he wants to know whats going on". I said "tell him that we...um...we are dealing with some stuff, idk just lie". Dustin said "let me guess, this Chris guy doesnt know about our kinds". I said "no, and I want to keep it that way until he absolutly needs to know". Dustin asked "does Reedus know about him"? I said "I hope not, but if he does then he will most likely get Chris to lure me to him".

I shivered at the thought. Josh said "ok, well I checked, there is still a full moon tonight for some odd reason, so us werewolves will be more powerful then ever". Dustin said "well I hope you have more than you 4 because wolves are starting to come here to help protect Reedus. I said "well they are stupid, because they will die".

Alexia asked "why cant we just think up a plan before we just try to kill him". I smiled and I said to Alexia "your right, and your very smart! We need to think of a plan so let's go somewhere and discuss this". Josh asked "can we go back to your place Shelby"? I said "it's small, but I think we can all fit in there".

EVERYBODY AT THE APARTMENT:

We all walked in and I sat down on the bed. Mikayla, Alexia, and Josh sat on the bed with me while Dustin and all of the vamps stood up. I said "ok heres what we could do, us 4 wolves could lure him in, then once I give the signal you all come flying down from the sky. You all will have big silver knives so if you see a wolf, kill it". Josh said "It sounds horrible, but if the wolves are going to help Reedus then they need to be killed, we wont be able to trust them". I nodded and I continued saying my plan.

"So while you guys are fighting the other wolves, us 4 will go after Reedus and weakin him, then once all the other wolves are hurt or dead, Dustin, you will give me your weapon then I will kill Reedus". Dustin asked "why should you be the one to kill him"? I said "he sadly is still my mate and he made my life a living hell, so I get to kill him".

Josh said "it wont just hurt him though, it will hurt you too because you are killing off the bond your wolf has with his, it will hurt a lot, but you will recover from it". I said "as long as I recover...then the pain is worth it".

Dustin said "so it's settled, tonight we kill Reedus once and for all". I asked "is there any way that he could ever come back from death"? Dustin said "I've seen it with one other wolf before, but I have no idea how it happened. It was awful, it made the wolf stronger and meaner, she got revenge on everybody. It was a complete blood bath, but let's just hope that it doesnt happen to him". I said "knowing Reedus that will happen". Josh said "it better not, or else we will have a huge problem to deal with". Elisha said "well if it does happen then we will get more people and kill him again until he finally stays dead".

There was this feeling in the pit of my stomach. I was thinking about killing him. Was it really smart to kill him? What if he comes back and kills us all? I didnt want to take that rick, but at the same time I just wanted him dead. I had until tonight to figure out what I wanted to do.
