Ch:21

We walked back into the living room trying to look non suspicious. Chris asked "want to do something today"? I said "sure, but what"? He said "maybe just spent the day being lazy together or something". Ricky said "if you dont remember the concert is tonight, we need to practice". Chris said "mostly Brandon". Chris smiled when he looked over at him.

Brandon was about to say something, but I said "I fixed that problem sweetie". I got up and I said "c'mon you'll see". All the guys got up and we walked down to the basement. Brandon walked over to the drumset and I sat in the chair right infront of the drums.

I looked back at Chris and I said "pay attention to how good he is now". Brandon said "I might even be as good as Angelo now". I said "ok lets start with America then boys". I said "I'm not gonna snap, your gonna snap this time".

He snapped then he started to play. The rest of the guys started to play and they sounded awesome. Soon Chris joined in and he started to sing. I smiled as I watched Brandon play. He was a million times better than he was before.

From time to time Chris would look back and smile at me. After the song was over all of the boys commented on how much better Brandon was playing. I said "just wait until you listen to him play Ghosts In The Mirror, but we will save that song for last".

Chris smiled and said "ok guys, Immaculate Misconceptions". Chris started to scream the lyrics then Brandon started to play first. He was really good. Then Ricky joined in with his guitar, then the rest of the guys joined in on the song.

Brandon focused so hard on his playing. That just made me happy because he deserves it. All of them deserve to play in a concert, and now they finally have a chance. Before I knew it they ended the song. I clapped and I said "last but not least Ghosts In The Mirror that me and him practiced at least 10 times".

I said "dont forget to switch". He nodded and waited for Chris to start singing. Chris sang then Brandon played. The rest joined in and they sounded awesome. When the part of the song came I got nervous. He knew what to do, so I had faith in him.

Brandon completelt owned it. He smiled as he played it and he played it loudly and confidently. I smiled and all the guys looked back at him. Ricky wispered "nice Brandon". Brandon was so happy. He knew that he could do this, he was just denying himself before because he thought that he could never be as good as Angelo, but he is.

The song ended and Chris turned towards us. He was smiling and he asked "ok Angelo number 2, how did you learn to play so good so fast"? He smiled and looked at me. He said "with lots of help from Shelby". Chris smiled at me and he asked me "and how did you know how to teach him"? I said "well my brother used to play drums in a band so I was constantly helping him practice".

Brandon said "play for them"! I got up and me and him switched places. I said "play Ghosts In The Mirror". Chris sang and I started to play. I played out of pure memory from the music sheet. And when the time came I played correctly like Brandon did.

Chris smiled at me when he finished the song. He said "wow babe, I didnt know you could play like that"! I said "well I guess I can surprise you". He smiled and said "if anything happens to Brandon before the concert starts you are definatly his replacement". I smiled and said "ok, but I dont think that will be a problem".

Chris asked "so are you gonna come and see us perform"? I said "of course I am babe"! He smiled and said "good because I got you this". He threw this backstage pass to me and a ticket to get in. It was the pit so I was at the stage. I smiled and I said "thank you"! He said "your welcome, I have 3 more if you want to bring some friends"!

Chris handed them to me and I said "I know exactly who to bring". He smiled and said "guess I'll see you later then"! I said "I'll come back later, maybe we can all go to the concert together, just ride in seperate cars". He said "yeah, we actually take a van. It has all of our stuff in it".
