Ch:10

THE NEXT DAY:

I texted Becky and told her to come over to my apartment. I told her the address and she texted "on my way". I cleaned up the room a bit and set out my dress I was going to wear tonight. I set out my mask and examined them. They were both so pretty. I loved my dress and the mask, they went so well together.

I heard a knock on the door so I went over and opened it. I said "hey Bec...". It was actually Ricky. I said "sorry thought you were my friend Becky". He said "it's ok". I asked "do you need something"? He said "well I was wondering what you were doing tonight"? I said "I'm going to this masquerade ball tonight with Becky".

Ricky's mouth made a small frown. I asked "whats wrong"? He said "nothing, just wanted to know if you wanted to hang out tonight, thats all". I said "well if you have a suit you can come to the ball with us". He said "Let me look, I might have one, if not I bet T.J. has one". He walked back over to his apartment and he shut the door behind him.

I looked down at the parking lot and saw Becky pull into a space. She got out of her car and looked at the apartments. I waved and she saw me. As she walked up the stairs I stood at the door. She had her dress and mask in a bag.

When she got to my apartment door we hugged eachother then we went inside. I walked her over to where my dress was. She smiled and said "this is a beautiful black dress". I smiled and said "thanks". She picked up the mask and said "wow, this is an awesome mask". I smiled and said "I like it, it's simple, but it's pretty".

I said "ok, well, I have to take you to this place I know". She asked "what kind of place"? I said "it's a beauty salon, and the girl who works there is amazing". She smiled and said "well lets go"! Ricky walked in and said "ok, I got a suit to wear". I said "put it on, and while we are at the salon go get a mask to cover your eyes".

Ricky ran back over to him apartment to grab his tux. I gathered up my dress and mask. I put them in Becky's bag and we walked out of my apartment. I checked my pocket and made sure I had my cell and money. I did so I locked up the apartment. I knocked on Ricky and T.J's apartment. Ricky ran over to the door and opened it.

He smiled and asked "how do I look"? I smiled and said "you look good, but you will look even better with a mask on"! All 3 of us ran downstairs and got into Becky's car. I made Ricky sit in the back. I told her where to go and we arrived at the beauty salon within 10 minutes.

When we got out of the car I told Ricky to walk across the street and go into a party store to get a mask. He walked over while Becky and I walked into the salon. The woman was in there and I smiled. She smiled back and said "hows my favorite customer"? I said "good, we are going to a ball later on tonight and we need our hair and make-up done". She said "no problem, go take a seat in the chairs".

We walked over to the chairs and she asked me "do you like your new hair color"? I smiled and said "I love it"! I examined my hair. Half was red and half was black. She asked us "any particular style"? I asked "would it look good curled"? The lady smiled and said "it would look beautiful curled".

Becky asked "may I have mine straightened please"? The ladt smiled and said "of course". I looked at the ladies name tag. It said "Jamie". I said "Jamie, thats a nice name". She looked down at her name tag then said "thanks sweetie"!

Jamie plugged in the curler and let it heat up. Then she plugged in the straightner and let it heat up too. After the curler was heat up she began to curl my hair. She wouldnt let me look until that and my make-up were done.

Jamie called out "liz, get out here". Another worker came out from the back. She asked "yeah"? Jamie said "please start to straighten that girls hair". Liz said "ok" and picked up the straightner. She began to straighten Becky's hair and we all talked.
