The Darkness Inside

Ch:43

Once we got to the house we all shifted back into our humans. I felt like we were being followed so I turned around. Reedus was standing there. He didn't see Chris yet. Josh seen him so he quickly hid Chris behind him.

Josh said to me "Shelby, don't go after him". Anger rushed through me. Reedus smiled then he asked "how's your dead boyfriend"? I shifted into my wolf then I snarled and growled at him. He shifted then he ran back into the woods. I snarled then I ran after him.

Josh screamed "ETHAN...AIDEN GET HER"! I couldn't let Reedus get away. I picked up my speed. I was inched from him. I tried to swipe my claws into his back, but Ethan and Aiden tackled me to the ground.

I screamed "LET ME GO"! Ethan said "let him go Shelby, he wants you to follow him...just let him go". Aiden said in a whisper "at least he didn't see Chris...that's the good thing". I guess I was happy that Reedus didn't spot Chris, but I really wanted to tackle him and rip this throat out.

They got off of me then they helped me up. They brushed all of the stick, leaves, and dirt off of me. Ethan kept an arm around my wrist just incase I tried to run after Reedus. A howl filled the air. It was Reedus.

He taunted me by saying "Chris would was you to fight...instead you stay away...you couldn't even keep your own brother alive". My feet planted to the ground. Ethan and Aiden both looked at each other then they grabbed me.

I turned into my wolf and so did they. Ethan was trying to talk to me, but I was fuming with anger. I screamed "GET OFF". Ethan screamed "JOSH HELP US". All of a sudden Dustin, his vamps, Jamie, and Becky ran to us. Becky said "Josh took Chris inside so he told us to come".

Jamie asked "what's wrong"? Ethan was about to say something, but Reedus howled again. He said "I wonder if your brother went to hell lie your dead parents". That sent me over the edge. I broke out of their grasp and I ran towards Reedus's howls.

Ethan screamed "WE NEED TO GET HER"! They all started to run after me so I sped up. Dustin almost grabbed me, but I kicked him right in the face. My eyes were glowing fiery red with anger. Reedus's thoughts were getting louder and louder.

He stood in the clearing ahead. He had a smile on his face. I ran after him, but I tripped over a wire. It was a tripwire. Guns went off right when the pack got to me. When I looked for Reedus he was gone. I didn't get shot so I turned around and I looked at everyone.

I asked "is anyone hit"? Everyone seemed to say "no", but then I looked over at Dustin. He stared at me then he looked down. There was a huge bullet hole in his stomach. He looked back up at me then he fell to the floor.

I screamed "DUSTIN" in my banshee voice. My banshee wasn't telling me when someone is going to die, so I will have to talk to her about that later, but for now I need to help Dustin. I ran over to his and I picked his head off of the ground.

 I gently laid his head in my lap. I said "don't worry, we will get you some help". Dustin said "no Shelby...the wounds to bad...but I want you to know that I'm sorry for leaving you. I love you Shelby...I always will be with you guys".

He kissed my cheek then he smiled. He closed his eyes then he became a pile of burned ashes in my arms. I started to cry again. This is the second time Reedus has tried to hurt somebody. The vampires were staring in shock.

I got up then I walked over to them. I asked "if you want to join my pack then you can...we need to kill this son of a bitch". I looked back at Dustins ashes. I cried even more then I screamed "EVERYONE GO AWAY"!

They all stood watching me. I screamed "DIDNT I MAKE MYSELF CLEAR"? I growled in my alpha voice so the all cowered and ran away. I fell to my knee's and I began to cry. I blame myself for his death. I felt so guilty, but I knew that it was Reedus's fault. Now I could add somebody else to the dead list.

My wolf was angry along with me. My banshee and I were both crying. I seen a big rock so I picked it up and  I threw it. It hit into a tree. The tree tilted then it fell over. The rock smashed into thousands and thousands pieces. I couldn't control the anger that I had right now. I couldn't control my crying either. Tears were pouring down my face.

I asked her "your my banshee..so why didn't you warn me before he got shot"? She said "I'm sorry, I promise I will warn you from now on". I said "you better, or you will be in big trouble".

My wolf screamed "LETS KILL HIM"! I said "we will, but we need to think of a plan". She said "well then lets go think of a plan with the rest of the pack...they are worried about you". I said "ok, but give me a minute to cool down". She backed off and she let me calm down my shaking nerves.
