The Darkness Inside

Ch:6

I woke up and my head was pounding. There was this noise that hurt my ears. It was a dog whistle. Me and my wolf whimpered until the whistle stopped blowing. I sat up and cracked my back. Ricky was awake. He was on his phone texting in my bed.

Ricky looked at me and w how sorry I am". I said "then dont, I think you should go back to your room now". He sadly said "ok". He got out of bed and walked over to the door. He opened it then disappeared into the hall. I got up off of the floor and I laid down on my bed.

I thought about the voice that spoke to me last night. My banshee came through and said "you need to turn good again, that demon is consuming your soul". I smiled a devilish smile and said "let him". My eyes turned all black so I walked over to the mirror.

The demon came back and said "hello". I said "hey". He said "I am now apart of you". I asked "how did you get here"? He said "after your brother died, your soul slowly began to die, so I took it's place". I said "dont hurt me". He said "I cant promise you anything".

I tried to talk to him again, but he left. My eyes turned back to their normal yellow color. My wolf said "we need to get rid of him". I smiled and said "he can stick around for a bit". I w some money. I grabbed the keys to the apartment and I locked it behind me.

When I got out of the apartment building I started to jog down the street. After I hit the big part of the city I walked around and looked everywhere. I smelled something delicious so I followed the smell. I turned a corner and there was a guy. His arm was cut. I smelled the blood. I licked my lips and I could feel urges to attack him.

I whistled and he looked over my way. I said "you wanna get outta here"? He smiled and said "sure thing honey". I grabbed his hand and I took him into an adandoned building. I got behind him and kissed him neck for a few seconds. Then I covered him mouth and sank my wolf fangs into his neck.

He screamed, but my hand covered up most of the screaming. His blood tasted so good, it was perfect. My eyes were pure black. I snapped out of it and my eyes turned back to normal. I looked at what I did and I covered my hands over my mouth. I said "oh my god, I dont remember doing that". The demon came back and said "thats because you blacked out, I took control".

I asked "why did you make me kill him"? He laughed a devil laugh and said "because I need to eat too". I forced him away and my wolf said "good job, you need to learn how to block him from going inside of your head".

I jumped out of a window and ran down the street. I ran into a store that had a public bathroom. I washed off the blood from my hands and face.

I walked out of the bathroom and went to exit the store when I saw a flyer on a bulletin board. I walked over and read it. It said "Dark Masquerade Ball" I read more and it said "9:00 p.m. in the Grand Ball Room of Mr.Scotts Mansion, open to public". I smiled and thought about getting a costume.

When I walked outside I looked around for people. I walked over to a lady and asked "do you know where a costume store would be"? She said "try party city, go down about 5 blocks then swing a right". I smiled and said "thank you". I jogged the 5 blocks then I took a right.

I walked into the party city building and I looked around. I walked over to the section labled "dresses". I looked at all of the dresses. One stuck out and I liked it. It was a big black down. I took it down and it was just my size. Now all I needed to do was find a mask.

nd looked until I found the section labled "masks". There were all kinds of masks. I picked up a black one with a feather attatched to the right side. I smiled and said "perfect". I walked over to the checkout line and paid for the costume.

I walked out of the store and seen a beauty store on the other side of the street. I ran across and went inside. There was make-up everywhere. I walked over to the lipstick and picked out a dark red color. I also grabbed a thing of black eye shadow. Then I grabbed another eye shadow, only this one was dark red like the lipstick. I paid for the make-up then I jogged home.

I ran up to my apartment and I ran inside. I set the stuff down on my bed and thought about what day it was. It was wednesday so I still had 2 days before the ball. I was excited! My demon liked it too because it was a "DARK" masquerade. I smiled and said "this should be good". Just then there was a knock at the door. I asked who is it"?

A female voice spoke and said "I'm your neighbor, Mikayla". I walked over to the door and opened it.
