The Darkness Inside

Ch:8

I said "nothing". Ricky grabbed my hand and said "obviously there is something wrong, please tell me". I heard Reedus growl, but I didnt make eye contact with him. I said "my ex is here and I dont want to see him". Ricky said "where is he, he is a fool to have broken up with you". I laughed and said "well I broke up with him, but that was because he cheated on me with another woman".

I made sure to say it loud enough for Reedus to hear. He growled even louder and started to snarl. Ricky continued to hold my hand which made Reedus pissed off. I squeezed his hand and said "lets go". He grabbed a handful of fries and we started to walk out of the resturant.

Reedus walked over and grabbed my other hand. He yanked me out of Ricky's grasp and brought me in for a kiss. When our lips met I pushed him away and secretly dug my wolf claws into his chest. I said in my alpha voice "let me go, I'm done with you, and you dont need me...remember".

I pushed him away even harder then qiuckly put my claws away. I walked over to Ricky and said "lets get out of here". We both got out if there as quickly as we could. We ran over to the car as soon as Reedus came charging out of the resturant. His eyes were glowing so Ricky asked "what the hell is wrong with him"? I said "trust me, you dont want to know".

Then Reedus did what I hoped he wouldnt do. He transformed and charged at the car. Ricky started to freak out so I said "dont worry, I got this". He screamed "HOW, HE JUST TURNED INTO A WEREWOLF"! I made my eyes glow and I looked into Ricky's eyes. I said "I need you to go back to the apartment. I will tell you everything when I get home".

Ricky just stared at me in shock. I took off my shirt and pants, then I changed into my wolf. I immediatly charged at Reedus taking him down almost instantly. I grolwed at his asked "what the hell are you doing"? He said "I need you Shelby". My eyes turned black and he said "thats new".

My demon yelled and cursed at him. I wailed punches down on his, but he bit my hand hard. I yelped in pain, but that only made my demon more angry than before. I picked him up my his neck then I slammed him hard onto the pavement. The force sent cracks into the pavement. I got ontop of him and my demon came back.

I began to strangle him, but Ricky beeped the horn which snapped me out of it. I slashed my claws across Reedus's face. Blood started to pour out and he help his cheek in pain. He changed back into his human form and ran away cupping his cheek.

I transformed back and quickly put on my clothes. Ricky was still there, and he was waiting for me. I got back into the car and he drove us home. The whole car ride home was super silent. Once in awhile Ricky would look over at me, but besides that he didnt say anything to me.

After we pulled into the apartment complex I got out, but he stayed in the car for a few seconds. I asked "you coming"? He said "give me a minute". I said "ok, I understand". He looked down for a few seconds then got out of the car. He caught up to me and asked "are you ok"? I asked "why would you ask that"? He pointed and said "your hand is bleeding".

I looked down and seen the bite mark on my hand. Reedus got me really god, it was a deep bite mark too. I said "I'm fine, it will heal on it's own, which will only take about 5 more minutes. When we got up to our apartments I said "get T.J. and I will tell you guys everything".

Rocky walked into his apartment and yelled for T.J. I went into my apartment and sat on my bed. I thought about all the things I sould tell them. As I was in deep thought someone knocked on the door. I said "come in".

Ricky and T.J. entered the room. They sat on the edge of the bed and I said "ok, well T.J. Ricky already knows this, but you dont so I will tell you all of this too. T.J. I am a .....werewolf". T.J. laughed and asked "how drunk are you guys".

Ricky smiled and said "show him". I got off of the bed and transformed. T.J. stopped laughing and began to panic. I said "it's ok, I wont hurt you, I promise". He just stared at me and didnt know what to do or say.

I grabbed a blanket from the bed and wrapped it around me before I changed back into a human. I sat down on the bed and told them everything about me and my past. I told them about Reedus, Dustin, Brad, the war, my banshee, my werewolf, my vampire, my demon, my teachers, and Elisha. God did I miss Elisha. I wish I could see her, but I cant go back to the place where the most important person in my life died.

After I finished they both asked me all kinds of questions and I laughed at the ones T.J. asked me. I answered them all until Ricky asked "so how do you get rid of your demon"? I said "I have no clue, but my wolf, banshee, and I are trying to figure that out". I also said "if you ever see me with black eyes I want you to run away from me".

They both nodded their heads and I said "I dont want to hurt you guys, thats why I want you to run". I sighed and said "I need to figure out how to control my demon". Ricky said "just push it away". I laughed and said "it's not as simple as it seems".

Ricky said "well we dont want to stress you out, so we will go, we ca talk again tomorrow". I smiled and said "thanks Ricky". They got off of my bed and went over to their apartment. I laid back on my bed and turned off the lamp. I closed my eyes and drifted off to sleep.

THE NEXT DAY:

I woke up and my stomach started to growl. I got up off of the bed and walked out of my apartment. I walked down the steps and walked out of the complex. I walked down the street and found this local diner. I went inside and took a seat at an empty booth.

A waitress came over and said "how may I help you"? I looked at her and examined her. She looked no older than me and she was very pretty. I smiled politely and asked "may I have some coffee please"? She smiled and said "of course, anything else with that"? I smiled and said "bacon and dippy eggs with toast please". She smiled again and said "sure thing".

When she came back she gave me my coffee and handed me my plate of food. She asked "mind if I sit down, diners kind of slow right now". I said "sure, I could use a friend to talk to". She asked "whats your name"? I said "Shelby, and yours"? She said "I'm Rebecca, but you can call me Becky for short". I smiled and said "nice to meet you".

We talked for over 2 hours. She had to leave because her shift ended. We both walked out of the diner and I walked her to her car. I gave her a hug and said "we should hang out sometime". She smiled and said "for sure"!

I jogged back to the apartment complex and said to myself "one more day before the ball". I was excited because I never went to one of them before. I ran up to my room and laid back down on my bed. I thought about the fun I would have. I think I am going to go alone because I might meet a guy there, but I'm not planning on it. Maybe I will invite Becky to come with me.

I picked up the phone and pulled out a piece of paper from my pocket. I unfolded it and uploaded Becky's number into my phone. I texted her and asked "want to come to a ball with me tomorrow night"? She quickly texted back and said "of course"! I smiled and texted her all of the details about the ball.

I was so excited because I finally found a new friend. I will always love and miss Elisha, but I probably wont ever see her again. I crawled in bed and texted Becky for the rest of the morning.
