The Darkness Inside

Ch:36

I woke up with a pounding headache. Becky and Jamie were still asleep so I carefully got out of bed. Once I got up I looked to make sure that they were still sleeping. They were, so I walked over to the door and I wlaked out of the apartment.

I walked down to the car then I got in. I drove back to the coffee shop that Chris took me to. It was so bright out, but my hangover made it even worse. Once I pulled up to the shop I parked the car then I got out. I walked into the shop and I stood in line with the rest of the tired looking people.

The lady who worked the cash register was here again. She noticed me instantly. She said "come on over here". I cut infront of everybody then I said "thanks". She said "bo problem". I asked "can I have 3 coffee's with extra sugar and extra creamer please"? She said "absolutly, I will get that for you right now".

She left the register and she began to make my coffee's. About 3 minutes later she walked back over with all 3 in her hands. She handed them to me then she said "that will be $5 please". I said "but each coffee is $3". She gave me a look then she said "your total is $5". I handed her a $5 bill then I said "thank you so much". She said "your welcom, have a nice day". I said "you too" then I turned around and I walked out to the car.

Once I got into the car I got a headache again. The sun gleamed down on the windshield and the light spread throughout the car. I moaned then I covered my face with my eyes. After about a minute or 2 of me sitting in the car like that I turned on the car then I drove back to the apartment complex.

I pulled into my usual parking space then I went upstairs. I opened the door and it made a loud creaking sound. I immediatly stopped pushing on the door. I quickly pushed it open more then I shut it. I set the coffee's down on the dresser. I walked over to my pile of clothes.

I grabbed a black hoddie from the pile then I put it on. I put the hood up to hide my eyes from the light. I grabbed my coffee and I sat on the edge of the bed. I got out my phone and I went through my contacts. I scrolled down until I got to Chris's name. I clicked on it then I pressed the talk button. The phone rang then he picked up the phone.

He said "good morning beautiful".  I said "morning babe, remind me to kill Ricky the next time I see him...he made he get the worst hangover ever"! Chris laughed then he said " well dont worry, I'll slap him for you".

I took a sip of the coffee and it tasted delicious. I asked him "how are you feeling"? Chris said "I feel fine, I just had a small buzz, so nothin to bad, how are you"? I said "besides wanting to crawl into a cave and die, I'm ok". He said "well if it makes you feel any better Ricky is a lot worse than you right now. When he walked into the kitchen the sun made him sick. He has beed puking all morning".

I laughed then I said "karma is a bitch". He laughed then he said "yes it is". I said "tell Ricky to take some pepto, it will help him not throw up as much". I heard Chris tell Ricky "dude, take some pepto". Chris said "he's taking some"! I said "good, he will feel less crappy".

Chris asked "are the girls still at your house"? I said "yeah, they are still sleeping. I just got back from the coffee shop". He said "wish I was with you". I said "I know, I want to be with you too, but after Becky and Jamie leave I'm gonna sleep all day". Chris said "well that sounds like a good plan". I said "you can come over and sleep all day with me if you want".

He said "I wish I could, but me and the guys need to practice some of our songs". I said "it will suck for Ricky, him listening to all of the loud noises". Chris said "Ricky is getting the day off". I said "good, he needs to just sleep the hangover off". Chris said "I told him that, but he wont go back to sleep". I said "well tell Ricky that if he doesnt sleep it off he will just feel horrible for the whole day". Chris said "I already told him that earlier. He wont listen to any of us".
