Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - Explorers

Day 5

School progressed as usual the next day, besides the whole Timburr incident. After school, Charmander came up to Geek and Volt. Just before they left, Charmander started talking about some rumors or something about the Mystery Dungeons.

"You guys heard about Tsunami?" Charmander asked.

"Tsunami? What?" Volt asked.

"Oh yeah, you guys are new here. Man, I've already had lots of fun with you guys, I forgot you were new here!" Charmander exclaimed as he chuckled to himself.

"Heh, yeah, so what was this about a Tsunami?" Geek asked as he began walking out of the gates.

Volt and Charmander followed next to him as they kept talking.

"Oh, this Tsunami isn't a thing, it's a Pokémon," Charmander explained.

"A Pokémon? Huh, I guess this world has more Pokémon than humans discovered?" Geek thought to himself.

"So, what or who is Tsunami? You're leaving us in the dark bro," Volt said.

"Tsunami is supposedly an Oshawott that lives in this village, but leaves early in the morning every day to explore and train in Dungeons, then comes back late in the night to rest," Charmander continued.

"Huh. Sounds cool! I guess we'll have to look out for him won't we Geek?" Volt asked as he looked over to his Riolu friend.

"Yeah, I guess so. Alright well, if we want maximum exploration time, we should get going," Geek said.

"Yeah I guess. See you tomorrow Charmander!" Volt exclaimed.

"Be careful out there!" Charmander shouted back as he faded into the distance.

After preparing their items and other things they would need, Volt and Geek met up at the entrance of the town to go into their pre selected Mystery Dungeon. After several minutes of walking, they finally got to the Dungeon.

"Well, here we are. Should we go in slow or search every hiding spot we can find for treasure?" Volt asked.

"I don't care. Honestly, I just came here for the exploration. For the thrill of adventure I guess," Geek replied.

"Heh, yeah, I know what you mean. So, let's just explore! Here, I've got some paper from Charmander so we can map out the Dungeon so we can find our way back," Volt said as he pulled out a piece of paper and a small writing pencil thing.

"Alright. Let's just get as far as we can!" Geek said.

Their first adventure began, and it was a fun one. They battled fierce opponents, collected lots of loot and items to sell, and had a blast the whole time. They finally got all the way to the end. After turning down loads of hallways, battling lots of enemies, and finding many different items and stuff to sell, they finally reached a dead end.

"Well, looks like this is it," Volt said, somewhat sad.

"Hey, it was fun anyway! We got to explore a dungeon!" Geek exclaimed as he rubbed his shoulder which had been injured earlier.

"Yeah I guess so. So, tomorrow we can explore another one right!?" Volt asked, suddenly filled with excitement.

"Sure! I'm pumped to go exploring even more!" Geek replied with just as much joy.

As they began walking back through the dungeon to the exit, Geek couldn't help but feel that same feeling he got when Volt followed him. They were being watched. Making sure not to startle their follower, he didn't turn around or make any sudden moves. He just kept going behind Volt, who lead the way while staring down at the map the whole time.

"Alright, we're here!" Volt exclaimed as they walked out into the plaza.

"Well, I'm beat. I'm heading home, so see you tomorrow," Geek said, a sigh making it's way out of his mouth.

"Yeah, I know what you mean. Maybe after a few Dungeons we'll get used to this and we'll be able to do more Dungeons in a day!" Volt explained as he put his hands on his hips and looked to the sky with his bag overflowing with items.

"Should we sell all of these real quick?" Geek asked, just before he began walking away.

"Nah, it's fine. I'm gonna get some sleep too. See ya tomorrow!" Volt said as he ran past Geek, heading towards the big house above Skitty's.

Geek turned around and looked into the forest area behind the Gate. Standing in the shadows, leaning up against a log, was a small figure with what looked like armor and a horn jutting out of his head. The Figure was looking right at Geek, but he couldn't tell what it actually was. Then, the figure pushed off of the log and walked towards the Mystery dungeons again.

"Tsunami," Geek thought to himself.

That night, everyone ate dinner, but instead of discussing stories with everyone, Geek immediately went to bed. Mr and Mrs. Delcatty didn't necessarily want to keep Geek from exploring Dungeons, but they knew it was dangerous. Geek plopped down in his bed and almost immediately feel asleep. That night, he dreamed about exploring the world, finding so many treasures and new friends. Knowing every dungeon like the back of his hand, being the strongest Pokémon explorer ever, and all of it had Volt. In the matter of a few days, Volt had become a closer friend than Skitty. They had all the same likes and goals, even if Geek wasn't really a Pokémon. Geek enjoyed this world so far. If anything cropped up to help Geek get back to the human world, Geek wasn't sure he would take it anymore. Geek finally decided to do it. Tomorrow, he would tell Volt his secret. Tomorrow, Geek would tell Volt, that he was a human.
