Pokémon Mystery Dungeon - Explorers

Day 8

Geek was woken up by lots of murmuring and whispering. There was a lot of giggling too. Peeking one eye slightly open, he could barely make out the silhouette of Cubone standing above him holding a bowl. This wasn't gonna be good. Cubone tipped the bowl over and warm, steaming hot water sprayed all over Geek's face and body. Drenched, in pain, and aching sore, Geek lept up and shouted as he began running around the house like he was on fire. Everyone else just dropped down and laughed as hard as they possibly could. He was glad they were at least laughing about it. After finally not feeling any pain from the water, he stood in the middle of the house, a disgruntled look on his face, as he stared at everyone else, now crying as they laughed.

"Haha very funny," Geek murmured under his breath loud enough for them to hear.

"Oh don't worry," Volt suddenly said from behind Geek. 

When Geek turned around, he saw Volt, also drenched and very unhappy looking.

"You weren't the only victim," Volt said as he handed an extra Soaker Leaf to Geek.

After finally getting everyone to settle down, Geek asked how Skitty was doing. Apparently, she was doing fine. She was still in pain from the poison status, but she was recovering. In fact, she was the one who came up with the idea to dump water all over them. Everyone had a fun morning other than that. Breakfast, playing together, and exploring an early morning dungeon. Even Tsunami joined in for a bit before going off to find more orbs. Geek explained to Tsunami what had happened yesterday.

"Well, I'll keep a sharp eye out," Tsunami said as he turned around and began walking off.

When the group got home, however, their fun times came to a stop. There was a crowd of people gathered in the plaza around three new Pokemon. After pushing their way through everyone, Geek and Volt were able to see just what kind of Pokemon the were. One of them, standing in the middle, was a Lucario. Next to the Lucario was a Gallade. What really stuck out like a sore thumb, was a small, almost weak looking Squirtle.

"Greetings people of Petal Town! We are members of the Explorers of Tomorrow!" The Lucario stated.

"Explorers of Tomorrow? Do they explore the world or something?" Geek asked Volt.

"Yeah I think so. I heard Uncle Raichu talking about the from time to time," Volt answered.

Both listened intently to the Lucario as he continued talking, "We are on vacation the three of us. We decided to come here for our vacation because we wanted to check up on things here! Also, Wave here, has some information for you all!"

The Squirtle stepped forward and cleared his throat, then began talking, "If anyone here has any information concerning Pokemon disappearing, please contact us! We would like to know anything you know!"

Geek and Volt perked up at that statement. Poliwrath was still considered missing for the village. The two looked at each other with glances of worry, and then returned their attention to the crowd as someone raised their hand.

"I have some info on someone missing!" Poliwhirl shouted from within the crowd.

"Yes? What is it?" Wave asked.

"My dad Poliwrath has been missing for a long time! I think it's that weird kid Tsunami who also went missing around the same time!" Poliwhirl explained.

Geek and Volt went into full on panic mode. If they found Poliwrath, everything could collapse around them. They would have to tell everyone about their secret, meaning everyone would shun them, and they would never find anything that could help them. They needed to warn Tsunami.

"Where did Tsunami say he was going before we left him?" Volt asked Geek quietly.

"Uh, I think he said something about going to look for more orbs around Pecha Plains," Geek said as he tried to remember their conversation.

"Pecha Plains? Why look for orbs around there?" Volt asked.

"Long story short, Onix was being controlled by an orb I found. I smashed it and told Tsunami about it, so he was going to look for more," Geek explained.

"When were you planning on telling me that?" Volt asked obviously annoyed.

"I was going to tell you later, but this cropped up! Let's just go look for him!" Geek replied quickly.

"Eevee, Charmander, Cubone, find some way to distract them!" Geek whispered behind him to their friends.

"What? Do you guys know something about Poliwrath!?" Eevee almost shouted.

"Yes! But if they find out, bad things are gonna start happening around here, and no one is going to be safe! Please just, distract them!" Volt pleaded.

Eevee contemplated what to do, then nodded agreeingly.

"Thank you," Geek said as they both bolted for the forest.

Little did they see, but Lucario noticed them. He leaned over to Wave, who was writing stuff down on a small slip of paper. He gestured to follow Geek and Volt, but Eevee noticed too. She told Charmander to go warn Geek and Volt of Wave. Charmander and Wave both bolted for the dungeons. It was a race now. Eevee and Cubone had a plan to distract the other two.
