Geek woke up as usual and got ready for school. Oddly enough, Skitty hadn't woken up yet. Even though she was sick, that was odd for her. After having to be pushed out of the house, literally, by the Delcatty and told to go to school, Geek made the trip to the path. Volt had to catch up with him about halfway down the road.
"Dude you need to slow down! I know it's the last day, but seriously!" Volt exclaimed as he tried catching his breath.
"Sorry. I've just, got a lot of things on my mind," Geek said.
"And I don't? Dude my head's been swirling since I got home last night!" Volt chuckled to himself, but quickly turned serious afterwards.
"So, how's Skitty?" He asked, wanting to change the subject.
"Worse," Geek answered.
The rest of the trip to school was quiet. School itself was another story. Everyone was so excited. Everyone was practically bouncing off the walls and trees. Geek could hardly keep up with everyone. After school, everyone had a big celebration, and then everyone ran off to go have fun with their summer vacation. Geek and Volt began walking home, but around halfway there, Tsunami burst out of the bushes in front of them.
"What the-" Volt began saying but was immediately cut off by Tsunami.
"I remembered something!" He cried out.
"Wait, you did? What did you remember?" Geek asked.
"Something terrible. Come on," Tsunami replied as he turned around and started walking off into the forest.
As they walked through the forest, Geek started getting a little worried. They kept going deeper and deeper into the darkest parts of the woods. A quick Aura Glance assured Geek that Tsunami wasn't being controlled again, but he still couldn't help but worry. Maybe it was his worry about Skitty being transferred over to now.
"Here," Tsunami said as he lifted some bushes and entered a small little bubble in the trees and thick brush.
In the little bubble, was a massive Poliwrath, laying face down, sleeping.
"What? This Poliwrath? What about him? He's just sleeping," Volt said.
Tsunami shook his head and explained a different story, "When I was being controlled, I kept hearing this voice in my head. It kept telling me to use a certain move I had never heard of. When Poliwrath found me, I lured him into a trap, then absorbed his energy, making him fall asleep. A small, blue beam shot out of Poliwrath and went into me. For a second, I felt a huge surge of power, but it was gone almost like that."
"So, Poliwrath still hasn't woken up then?" Geek asked, now interested in this issue.
"Yeah. I've got another question though, something I've been thinking about for a while. While I was being controlled, I could see you guys, but, you had this strange shield around you. Your scarves were glowing as well. What's more, if I got controlled by touching the Orb, how did Volt smash it without the same thing happening to you?" Tsunami crossed his arms and looked at the two.
He waited for an answer. There was a long pause of silence. Geek looked down at his scarf. What secrets did they hold? Was that why Volt had them? Did they serve some special purpose? Even more questions now. Geek was suddenly warped back out of his thoughts when Volt tapped on his shoulder and pulled him aside.
"What're we gonna do?" He asked, half whispering half panicking.
"It's fine, uh, we'll just, uh, tell him that we don't know! We honestly don't do we?" Geek replied, also hearing the panic in his own voice.
"I guess but seriously! He's gonna catch on soon enough!" Volt replied.
The two agreed on telling him they didn't know, and so that's what they did.
After a few more minutes of debating and discussing things with Tsunami, they decided to keep this a secret. It would be far too dangerous for more people to be let in on this. Tsunami would help cover up Poliwrath and help protect him, while Geek and Volt continued to help him find more orbs. Before they could continue searching, Geek and Volt had to head home and prepare their bags.
When they got home, Geek noticed that not very many people were out and about playing or talking. The plaza was practically empty. When they reached Skitty's house, they saw a somewhat small crowd gathered outside, with Mr and Mrs Delcatty guarding the entrance. When they got up to the gate, Geek began wondering what was going on inside.
"Hey, what's going on Mr Delcatty?" Geek asked, a hint of worry taking root.
"Geek, I, I am sorry but, you can't go inside. Audino is doing everything she can but..." He trailed off.
Geek began trembling. This couldn't be true.
"Skitty is badly poisoned. She must've gotten it while she was running from Onix before she found you in the forest," Mrs Delcatty said.
"There's no known cure, besides one," Mr Delcatty added.
"Where is it?" Geek asked.
"What?" Mrs Delcatty asked, half shocked at Geek's sudden mood change.
"Where is this cure? I'll go get it myself," Geek said as he stared at the two Delcatty.
"No, I can't tell you. It's far too dangerous for you alone, even if you are really strong!" Mr Delcatty pleaded.
"Then I'll go too," Volt chimed in.
"Me too!" Cubone said from within the crowd.
"So will I!" Eevee shouted as she pushed her way next to Volt.
"Me too! I'm not very good at exploring, but if I stick with you guys, everything will be fine!" Charmander said.
Geek looked back at the Delcatty, then asked again, "So where's the cure?"
