Geek poked his head out from under the stairs to the large open area that was the roof of the Tower of Legends. The sky above was dark, and very cold. Geek stepped out to the flat surface with Volt right behind him. Wave and Tsunami both popped up next, with Lucario and Victini coming up behind them. As Geek looked around, he noticed something floating at the edge of the tower, looking off into the distance. It was a Pokémon.
"I'm glad you all came, despite the hardships you had to face to get here," the Pokémon said.
With a simple movement of turning, the Pokémon revealed itself. It was the legendary Pokemon Jirachi.
"It was hard to warp you two here Geek and Volt. I had to use every ounce of my strength to do it, but I'm glad I did," Jirachi said.
"So wait, you know us?" Volt asked, already knowing the answer.
"Yes. Well, sort of. I knew you a little bit as humans, but I didn't really know if you would be the perfect people for this job. I guess I was right to choose you two," Jirachi replied, sleepiness and exhaustion clear on his face as he came closer to them.
Suddenly, Thunder clapped the building and lightning struck under them from the clouds. A massive, dark image appeared in the sky, and Jirachi said this was being broadcasted across the world. Wraith was making a statement.
"Pokemon of this world. I have come to the decision of destroying this world early. I know many of you were hoping to continue living without being drained, but that is not the case. I have absorbed enough energy from this pitiful planet, and it is time I destroy it to remove the stain from this universe," Wraith said.
"I know this is sudden, but I must also act quickly, not only to remove this stain quickly, but to prevent two certain Pokémon from stopping my plans. Geek and Volt, if you try and stop me, I promise you, I will make sure your end is painful, slow, and very, very, horrific," Wraith then ended his message, and the strange dark screen vanished.
As soon as it disappeared, the large, massive Dark Orb from which Wraith stayed in began growing. It started spreading across the ocean, then started spreading across the nearest islands and land masses. It was getting closer to the Tower of Legends.
"You have to go," Jirachi said to Geek and Volt.
"Wait what? I thought that everyone who went close to that thing fell asleep!" Volt exclaimed.
"That's true, but not the case for you two. You both have the Scarves of the Ancients, which gives you resistant to that Draining Aura. You are our planet's last hope," Jirachi explained.
"I don't know," Geek said.
"What?" Lucario asked.
"I don't know if I'm right for this job! I can't be! Me and Volt are just kids! How can we be the last hope for this planet?" Geek asked.
"Because I chose you," Jirachi said, replying with a calm, collected manner.
"I chose you two because I knew. I knew things would be hard. Things would be confusing, but I knew you would be able to do it. Not alone of course, but together with those Scarves. You have to go. We'll be here to support you all the way," Jirachi said.
Geek and Volt looked at each other. Then at everyone else. Everyone knew their roles. Geek and Volt stepped up to Jirachi and nodded. They were ready now. Suddenly, the tower shook and the floor cracked. Gengar bolted up the stairs, followed by another massive horde of powerful Shadow Pokémon. He gave them that same creepy smile.
"Would you just BACK OFF!?" Wave shouted in frustration as he turned to their new unwanted guests.
"Geek, Volt! Go! We'll hold these tools off!" Lucario shouted back as he charged into attack.
"I'll see you guys when this is over!" Tsunami said as he followed close behind Lucario.
"Do this for us! Do this for everyone! Save our world!" Wave said as he dashed off as well.
Jirachi opened a portal behind him. He motioned for Geek and Volt to move through.
"Go you two! We'll cover you!" Victini said as she started attacking the Shadow Pokémon.
Geek and Volt dashed for the portal, racing to get through. Gengar suddenly called out behind them.
"IF YOU ENTER THAT PORTAL," Gengar shouted over the battle, "YOU'LL NEVER COME BACK!"
Geek stopped for a second. Volt stopped, just in front of the portal and looked back at Geek. If they went in, they either came out Heroes, or... failed trying. Geek looked back at Gengar who was looking at him, creepy smile and all.
"I'd rather try, than do nothing at all," Geek replied, smiling himself, then turned and ran into the portal with Volt right behind him.
