"Geek..." A voice called out.
Geek's eyes wouldn't open. All he could do was groan and roll over.
"Geek..." another voice called out.
"GEEK!" Volt shouted in Geek's ear.
"GAH!" Geek shouted as he jumped up, startled, and tripped over his bed. He fell on the floor, face first, and groaned in pain.
"Dude, you're like a floor magnet. Gravity just really loves you," Wave snickered from the door to their room.
"Shut it bushy tail," Geek shot back as he stood up and dusted himself off.
"Come on. Geez, you were out like a light. Everyone else is already waiting outside," Volt said.
"Wait really?" Geek asked.
"Yes really, now come on and get your lazy bum out here," Wave chuckled again, but this time was stopped as Geek body slammed into him.
"You were just begging for that," Volt said as he turned around and started walking down the hall to the door.
"I know..." Wave replied from the floor, "I got that reaction a lot from Tsunami."
Sure enough, everyone was ready and waiting. Geek said his goodbyes since everyone else had already done so. Once he was done, everyone set out. The journey through the Outskirts Forest was pretty casual, but everything started getting hectic once they were out of the forest.
"Anyone know where we are?" Volt asked as they walked along the muddy, foggy paths.
"I think this is Foggy Swamps Outskirts. I might be wrong though," Greninja said from the front of the group, "To be totally honest, I've never been out this way. At least, not this far out this way."
"Me neither. This is kinda scary after looking at it," Marowak said.
"Let's just get through this place as fast as possible. Let's make as much headway as possible before nightfall," Wave told the group as they trudged deeper into the foggy depths.
They walked deeper and deeper and deeper until it finally got dark. They found a really warm cave and decided to stay there for the night. They would take turns watching for anything suspicious. The first shift was Gallade, then Greninja, then Marowak, then Wave, and then the job was left to Geek and Volt. Geek didn't know why Geek and Volt were assigned to do one shift, but he guessed that evened out the workload between the two. It was almost day before either one said any thing, trying to keep themselves hidden in the dense fog.
"Geek?" Volt asked.
"Yeah?" Geek replied.
"What do you think is coming ahead in the future?" Volt suddenly questioned.
Geek stopped for a moment in his thoughts. Volt had suddenly just posted a question Geek legitimately wanted to know, but didn't. What was in their future? Sure there was the whole Orb Factory thing they needed to stop, but what after that? Was that what they were sent here for? To stop the Orb Factory? What about after they finished what they were sent here for? Would they be sent back to the human world? So many questions flooded Geek's mind all at once that he didn't know what to do or say.
"Whatever it is," Geek managed to get out, "We'll be ready for it."
