"We're Just Friends"

Three days later
*Ashley's POV*

Today is the day of Tyler's cousin's wedding. After much consideration I decided to wear a cropped, cream colored tank top embellished with lace, and a floor length navy blue skirt with cream flowers. I decided to wear nude colored three inch pumps, and a silver spiked choker, with matching bracelets and rings.

"Wow mommy, you look pretty!" Everleigh says after giving me the stare down.

"Well thank you Ev!" I say, giving her a twirl. "You look pretty too!" Everleigh's stitches are healing quite nicely actually. I still hear her complain about them frequently, but that is normal considering that the accident happened only three days ago.

"Ready to go Ev?" I ask, grabbing my clutch.

"Yeah!" She says, running to the coat closet to put on her shoes. I'm dropping Everleigh off at Lucy's for a sleepover on my way to the wedding, because it doesn't get over until late at night.

Everleigh hops in the car, and I buckle her up. I put her overnight bag in the back seat, and drive off to Lucy's house. The whole car ride Everleigh was bouncing up and down in her seat.

"You ok back there?" I ask, looking through the rear view window.

"I'm..." Everleigh takes a breath. "ESCITED!!!!!!" she screams. I chuckle.

"I know you are! You and Lucy are going to have so much fun!" I say, turning onto her street. Everleigh can't contain her excitement as we pull into Lucy's driveway. I stop the car and we both get out.

"Welcome!" Lucy says, opening the door before we even knock. "Wow Ash, you look stunning!"

"Thanks" I say, giving my best friend a hug.

"Me too!" Everleigh cries. Lucy chuckles and bends down to hug Everleigh.

"Alright, is there anything I should know about before you go?" Lucy asks.

"No staying up past ten thirty at the latest, because we didn't get a nap today. Make sure Everleigh goes potty before bed, and help her brush her teeth so she does a thorough job."

"Ok." Lucy says, making a mental note.

"I packed everything she needs in here, so it should be fairly easy to find. and oh yeah! Everleigh needs to put this cream on her stitches twice a day, morning and night, so it doesn't get infected. Also, I packed ibuprofen if she complains about the pain. Other than that, I think we're good to go!"

"Awesome! Ready to have lots of fun Ev?" Lucy asks.

"YEEEAAH!" Everleigh cries excitedly.

"We're going to go to the park, order pizza, watch movies, play dress up in my closet, make ice cream sundaes and sleep in sleeping bags!" Lucy says excitedly.

"YAY!" Everleigh squeals delightedly.

"Well I should get going and let you two start your fun night! I'll see you later Ev. Be a good listener." I say, picking her up and hugging her tightly.

"I will mommy. I love you." Everleigh says, squeezing me tight. I give her a kiss and set her down gently.

"Bye Luce." I say giving her a hug. "Thanks for everything!"

"Not a problem! I'd watch this little munchkin any chance I get!" she says smiling. I close the door behind me, and hop in my car. Next stop, Tyler's house.

About an hour later, I pull into Tyler's driveway. He lives pretty far from Lucy to begin with, and when you add LA traffic onto that, it takes forever. I step out of my car, and walk up to his front door, my heels clicking with every step. I prepare to ring the doorbell, but he opens the door before I get the chance.
