Three weeks later
*Ashley's POV*I finally decided to drag myself out of bed after four hours of laying limp on the bed. My eyes are groggy from sleep and I have the slightest hint of a headache, making me feel sick to my stomach. I don't usually get migraines, but when I do they are the worse they can possibly be. Everleigh's loud hollering from the play room doesn't help. I trudge down the stairs to the kitchen and pop two Advil's in my mouth. Today Ev and I are supposed to go over to Tyler's house for a backyard barbecue. I can't remember the last time I had grilled barbecue, but right now the thought of the tangy sauce makes my stomach churn. Before leaving the medicine cabinet, I decide to take a Pepto Bismol as well to ease the nausea.
I trudge back up the stairs after putting a movie on for Everleigh in her playroom. I figure taking a shower would feel good on my achy body and will sooth my headache enough to function.
The minute I step into the shower, I feel a wave of relief wash over me. The hot steamy water running down my face and body diminishes any pain in my head and stomach. The longer I remain under the shower water, the better I begin to feel. The steam helps clear my foggy mind and I'm able to focus and finally stay awake. I hum to my favorite song in the entire universe, Falling Slowly. Tyler and I's love song replays on a loop in my mind and I feel at ease once again. It must have been a morning bug. I don't know what else it could be.
Once I'm done in the shower, I quickly get dressed, do my hair and makeup, and prepare breakfast for me and Everleigh. Today's meal consists of instant strawberries and cream oatmeal and a protein shake. Since we got a later start than usual, I decided to go for something fast and simple so we can hit the store quick before going to Tyler's.
"Eat up." I say, sliding Everleigh's oatmeal over to her.
"Mmm, nummy, nummy, oatmeal!" She says, taking a big bite. I chuckle. She's always so dramatic.

About an hour or two later, after a trip to Starbucks and the grocery store, we finally pull into Tyler's driveway. Traffic was extremely bad today for some reason. Thursday mornings aren't usually this crowded in LA, but today it definitely was. I suddenly feel giddy at the thought of seeing Tyler again. It's only been a couple of days since I did, but even so I miss him every day. Everleigh bounces up to the front door, sharing the same excitement as I. Tyler brings an unexplainable joy into our lives, and Ev and I both know it.
"My beautiful girls! It's about time you two showed up!" Tyler says, embracing us both in his loving arms.
"Sorry babe, Ev and I had to make a few quick stops on our way." I inform him. He kisses my temple.
"Don't apologize. It's totally fine!" He breathes into my hair. I smile and wrap myself deeper into Tyler's arms. He proceeds to kiss my hair, face and neck, leaving me aching for more.
"Daddy, guess what?" Everleigh says, tugging on Tyler's pants. Clearly she wasn't getting enough attention.
"What is it monkey?" Tyler asks, picking her up and balancing her on his hip.
"Mama wet me get a baby-chino today!" She says excitedly. Tyler and I chuckle. Baby-Chinos, most commonly known as steamers, are just warm milk in a mug with whipped cream. Occasionally when I go to get my coffee in the morning, I let Ev get something too, but only if she's a good girl.
"Is that so?" Tyler asks, pretending it was the most interesting and unbelievable thing he ever heard. Everleigh nods her head vigorously.
"Well, you must have been a very good girl!" Tyler says, kissing the top of her head. She grins proudly.
