A Second Chance

Fight

One week later.

Jessica is doing better and everyone is starting to get back on schedule. Today is Zachary's 16th birthday and Danny is taking him to get his license.

Jessica woke up to make him breakfast just like she does for her own boys on their birthday's.

"Happy sixteenth birthday, Zach!" Jessica gives him a hug.

"Thanks Jessie!"

"I made you some breakfast!"

"Awe you didn't have to do that!"

"Yes I did! It's your birthday!" Jessica says in a cute way.

"Is she not just the cutest!" Danny points to her and hugs her tight.

"I mean look at her in her little apron!"

Jessica giggles and pats Danny's chest.

"Sit down and eat some breakfast, honey."

He kisses her lips and she takes her apron off and sits beside Grayson and Danny.

"So today's the big day, huh?" Jessica smiles at Zachary.

"Yes! I'm so excited! Now all I need is to save my money and buy myself a car!"

"Well you haven't past yet!"

"Michael!" Jessica gives him a look.

"No Jessie, that's true. Just do your best son, and you'll get it no doubt!"

"Thanks dad." Zachary smiles.

A few hours later.

"I GOT MY LICENSE!!" Zachary yells running into the house.

"AH! Congratulations, Zach!" Jessica says.

"That's so exciting, isn't that exciting, Mikey?"

"Yeah!
That's awesome.." Michael fakes a smile.

"Here you go." Danny tosses him his car keys.

"What?"

"Don't you remember?  You get my car on your sixteenth birthday "

"No way!  Are you serious?!"

"Yep!"

"Ahhh!  Dad, I love you!!" Zachary runs to Danny and jumps on him.  He was so excited he even kissed him on his cheek.

Danny laughed and Zachary got down and kissed the keys.

"Thank you too, Jessie!" He runs over and kisses Jessica on the cheek.

"Awe you're sweet!" Jessica giggles.

Monday.

Jessica and Danny were at work, Grayson was at his grandmother's and the boys were at school.

Jessica got a phone call from Michael's school.

"Hello!"

"Hello, Ms. Shepard.  This is Michael's school.

Your son was in a fight today."

"He what?" Jessica raises her eyebrows.

"He was in a fight, will you please come by the office to pick him up and we can discuss the situation."

"Um okay.  I'll be right there."

Jessica went to George's office and explained everything.
