A Second Chance

What could have been

One week later.

Zachary was spending the week with his aunt, and Michael and Grayson were spending the weekend with George, then the rest of the week with Al and Dorothy.

"Grayson, mommy and daddy will be back soon, you're gonna be a good boy, aren't you?"

"No!" He pouts.

"Aww!  Yes you are!"

"No!  I go wit you!"

"Awe baby, you're gonna have so much fun with uncle George, and grandma and grandpa Lange!  You're even gonna get to visit grandma Shepard!  Isn't that fun?!"

"I go wit mama!" His lips quiver.

"My poor baby!" Jessica holds him and bounces him lightly.

"Mom, you guys have to get going."

"Let me just try to get him down for a nap so that he doesn't have to see me leave.  Danny, will you please heat up a bottle for me?"

"Sure."

Danny leaves and Jessica talks to the boys.

"You two study hard!  Just cause we're gone, that doesn't mean do whatever you want."

"Yes ma'am."

"Mikey, no going out on school nights, I've already talked to your grandparents, and Zachary, same for you."

"Yes ma'am."

Jessica gets Grayson down for a nap. 
She kisses his head and lays him down.

"Uncle George will be here soon."

"Okay.  You guys have a good time, and remember!  No babies!"

"I know that!"

Zachary rolls his eyes and chuckles.

"Bye!  Have fun!"

"Thank you!  Have fun with your aunt, sweetie."

In the plane Jessica cuddled up with Danny.

"We never get to just cuddle, little Gray Gray is always in the middle!" Jessica chuckles.

"I know!  Heh, he's cute."

"I know..
Danny, thank you again for all of this.  I'm so excited to see New York!"

"Me too!  I hear that place never sleeps!"

"I know!  Heh, Grayson would fit in perfectly!" Jessica laughs.

"Right?  He hasn't been sleeping the best, I wonder why?"

"I don't know.  Hopefully he won't be too bad while we're gone through."

When Jessica and Danny landed, they got a taxi to their hotel.

"Ooh!  Fancy!" Jessica smiles as they walk into their room.

"I know!  Jess, check out this view!"

Jessica runs over to where he's standing and looks out the huge window.

"Oh wow!  Daniel, look where we are!" She raises her voice with excitement.

"We're in New York, baby!"

Jessica laughs and hugs him.

"I feel like I'm on Friends!" She says making him laugh.

"You know what we can do?!" She looks up to him with wide eyes.
